You know what really gets me about the whole Emily-death arc?

In season 4, the episode Cold Comfort, Emily tells the entire team that she wants to be cremated. That embalming freaks her out and she doesn’t see the point of being buried (she calls the body shells of the people who left them)—

How did no one remember this conversation? I know it was a small thing but not one of them thought of this? Often, when a friend unexpectedly dies, your mind goes through every conversation, you try to replay everything.

I know it’s just a writer error - and CM is notorious for continuity errors - but dang I wish someone had remembered. Although I suppose in this case, either Reid or Morgan would have had to remember since I don’t think Penelope was on the screen during the conversation. (If I could get myself to write again, I’d write about someone remembering and calling Hotch & JJ out. Gathering evidence and proving it).

the other thing i don't like about how mo xiu yao's legs getting "cured" has gone down is that all of a sudden his being disabled had no social impact on him. when he was in a wheelchair everyone called him a cripple and used that as a reason why no one would want to marry him and no other noble man really cared to interact with him cause in addition to his family being traitors who were all executed save him, he 'can't even walk.' and that impression of him as pathetic and useless/harmless and less of a man certainly fed into the empress dowager ~showing mercy~ and not having him executed along with the rest of his family.

now he can walk and no one reads that as a threat? no one reads his treating his legs in secret and popping out at a major international (inter-empire? idk) event and whooping that guy's ass as him making moves and making a statement with his ability--i.e. he 'can' walk now so that means he 'can' take revenge/avenge his family? if his disability made him socially impotent, doesn't that mean his ability signals his virility, signals his 'ability' to do all the shit people wrote him off for before? he can walk and he killed all the fake eunuchs marquis muyang's unacknowledged son sent after him and marquis muyang doesn't make it a priority to have him killed? nah. *and* he did all that after mo jing li was exposed to have been plotting shit?

Weasleys having so many children during war is not just irresponsible - what if they died during the war like the Potters? Who would take that many children in?

It’s curious because statistically, birth rates plummet during wartime and spike in post-war periods. But in Rowling’s world, for some reason, everyone decides that in the middle of a bloodbath it makes perfect sense to start screwing like animals to procreate amid the chaos. I guess in her distorted mind, femininity somehow involves being nine months pregnant while you’re being hunted by a death threat—I don’t know.

there are inconsistencies inside s1 too

in s1e2 we are first shown anathema drawing in the prophecy book, like so

This is not the same picture we see later in the same episode, when Aziraphale opens the book

It's not the same size, first of all, compare where the edges of the picture are. Second, the hair is different: the first one, the hair blends into the red aura around the figure, and in the second one the figure and its hair is completely separate from the aura.

I also don't think this is Anathema herself, I think it's Madam Tracey. That's who Aziraphale goes to find, and she's dressed in green, with the red hair. Technically orange, but eh, both are called ginger. I think this drawing is telling Aziraphale to look for Tracey. Maybe Aziraphale can see auras when he's in ghost mode, or can just generally.

Later in the show, when Anathema is telling Newt about Agnes, she says in quick succession that Agnes is "a witch from 300 years ago" and they've been trying to figure out her prophecies for 400 years. That math does not work. She was dead and they got the book at the same time. Anathema says "yes, no, yes" when Newt asks if Agnes knew he was going to crash his car.

Hell changes its description of when they began the antichrist plan too, but I don't remember when those lines happened. I think the difference was first "since the earth was made" and the second was "since we rebelled". The earth was made long after the rebellion.

IIRC there are also other inconsistencies but I didn't write them down as I was watching.
