It's always highly amusing when an au version of a character turns out to be trans but the canon version of the character isn't, in an au that revolves around something entirely different from gender. Like no [canon character] would not transition even if given the opportunity and adequate knowledge, and it wasn't anything particular one had gone through that the other hadn't that caused it (e.g. ascending to godhood causing them to feel less attached to gender), [au version of character] simply decided she's a girl
