Rowan wondered into the forbidden areas of the forest. A place not even the animals would roam. Tales of monsters and evil spirits kept most from this place. And yet, the young rookie found himself in such a place. There existed a spring beyond all of it. One legend to foresee ones future lover. Ones ture soul mate.
Being hurt many times by the past relationships the young man had, it made him curious just what this spring would tell him. Just who's voice he might hear. The beautiful clear waters had come into view. At last, he could hear the voice of his soul mate.
Of whom it was surprised him.
It was Nikki. He could recognize that voice anywhere. But why Nikki? She was far too great to be his soul mate. Out of anyone in the world..
Maybe it was that they both shared a wondering spirit. The urge to adventure into other lands, other worlds. Could that be why fate found them to be so perfect? Rowan just couldn't see it. She deserved so much more then him. A timid, weak, and small creature as he was. Compared to his own people, he was tiny.. This just couldn't be so..
But, what could he argue over fate? Perhaps, in some way they knew this would work. There was only one way to find out..
