It is a time to reflect on the founding of our nation and give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy. But what does it mean to be truly free? The Bible tells us that true freedom comes from being enslaved to Christ (Galatians 5:1). When we are submitted to His authority, He sets us free from the bondage of sin. This doesn't mean that we will never face difficulties or persecution, but it does mean that we can have hope in the midst of trials. As Christians, we are not bound by the limitations of this world, but by the infinite love of God. So this Fourth of July, let us remember that true freedom is found in Christ alone.
