Spoilers for anyone watching Geet Hui Sab Se Parayi years later like me (I'm doing a rewatch tho)
For my reference - the episodes in the 150s and onward is bad writing, and ep 359 onward is the baAaaad timeline aka amnesia track which really ruins the whole show and doesn't even get resolved at the end of the series - soooo I remember not to watch those episodes. Le sigh. I hate when good writing and character development is thrown away for no reason except likely to milk the cash cow of extending the show unnecessarily. Like they resolved all the issues of the past, Geet got justice finally. all they needed was to clear the air with dadimaa and then the show could have ended very neatly and nicely with Maan and Geet living happily ever after together. But Nooooooooooo a lot of Indian serials always have this problem of dragging things out for $$$.
I'm so glad I can fast forward/rewind omg cuz let's be real. Only here for the Maneet scenes. Nothing else. Could not care less about the other characters or the drama beyond the initial premise of the show.
when they start introducing new characters I skip to the juicy Maneet bits. That's all honestly. This show has problems like any other show. But I'm here for the juicy romance and honestly their relationship bc it's based on such trust.
Side note on completely different series- You know what is a breath of fresh air? Wagle Ki Duniya Nayi Peedi Nayi Kissey. And Kaatelal and Sons. The latter ended so awesomely and really was so well done. The former is current and tackles common issues with such grace. Now, they probably don't count as same category of serial as GHSSP - that's more of a romantic melodrama, while the 2 above are comedies
I haven't watched any other melodrama Indian serials since so yeah.
In any case, for me GHSSP ends when dev and naintara finally go to jail and GM can be together with the past truly behind them.
