I made this backpack myself — from leftover fabrics I had at home.

Every piece has a story, every stitch was worth it.

I’ve been using it for a week now, even took it on a hike — and it held up like a champ.

There’s something so special about wearing something you made with your own hands.

Journal dump: RIP large journal

Susumu Amano, aka "Amano-senpai", is a somewhat overlooked male character in the anime Vision of Escaflowne despite playing an important role in the first few episodes. 

He is a young athlete known for his friendly personality and his sprinting abilities. Hitomi has a big crush on him. Is he Allen's "twin" on Earth? The series creators would have you think so because his character design (particularly the facial features) are meant to resemble Allen and they have the same voice actor in the English and Japanese dubs. My picmix portrait shows him as seen through Hitomi and Yukari's eyes, as the teen heart throb of their school.

My first day working in the new space :) I’m still working out the kinks but I had a pretty productive first day. I finished up some outstanding orders and started on some pieces for American Craft Council. My oven got jostled in transit and the marks I made for what temperature works for my pieces got lost 😭. So I had to spend the morning doing some test pieces to make sure things were correct, but other than that no major issues so far. The place we are staying has two goats and some chicken right next to us so it’s fun to watch them out the window! We got out for our first hike yesterday, a short nearly vertical trail up a mountain that overlooks the town. It’s so beautiful here! I’m loving Bozeman so far :)
