As he helped the girl he had no idea that she’d bring so much danger to him, it was a miracle at this point that he was still alive. “We have two choices, hope that if we cross through there we won’t be spotted and gunned down immediately,” since the area had already been occupied, “Or we take the long way and go around and hope we can get through before the army comes in and occupies that area as well....if you can’t tell I hate both plans and I hope you say they’re both bad and come up with one that does not result in me getting gunned down,” he said knowing that their options were slim.

richard was covered in the mud from the fields, his kit felt even heavier whilst struggling through the streets. the war was finally over, he was going to go home, and honestly it hadn’t quite sunk in yet. smiling at some of his comrades that he passed, some already drunk and merry, singing songs of home, and he made his way into one of the small bars where some locals were helping to pass over drinks to the soldiers. the men weren’t from here, but they were all on the same side, allied forces. as he took a beer, he leaned up against the wooden surface, exhaustion took over his entire body. but there, he noticed the beautiful girl. he raised his glass bottle to her, before taking a large swig.
