#Repost @indiedeckreview with @get.repost ・・・ The Compleat Windrow Ravenswood Deck is a 78 card oracle with a structure that closely resembles tarot. Like tarot, it contains a poker set and a separate arcana called the Lost Arcana. Where it departs from the tarot structure is the lack of Pages in the four suits and a missing Fool. Instead, there are 2 Jokers and 3 extra cards in the Lost Arcana. ⠀ Another deviation from standard tarot is the four suits. In this deck, they are Bones, Sea, Cogs and Circles. This is not merely a renaming of the conventional tarot suits. Rather, their meanings are unique to this deck. ⠀ The deck’s theme is that of lost artwork reproduced for their artistic and collection value. Printed on the back of the box is a warning to not use these cards as an oracle. While I’m not generally fond of the dark and creepy, I was captivated by the simplicity of the images. The skeleton of a hand possessing an extra finger represents abnormal / unnatural forces while a reversed pentagram is a call to assert oneself. But the best example of its brilliant simplicity is the Suit of Cogs. Each image builds upon the card before it and the way the cogs connect with each other gives them meaning. ⠀ It took me a few readings to properly connect with this deck. With quite a few cards that depict the difficult and unpleasant aspects of life, it’s definitely not your typical oracle deck. There was a point where I wanted to stop. And, yet, something about its eerily serene images urged me to keep going. ⠀ And I’m so glad I did. ⠀ When I finally figured out what kind of questions to ask, I felt like I was being guided to a part of my subconscious that I have never accessed before. It was frightening - but not in horror movie kind of way. I’m arachnophobic and this deck gives me the same fear I get when I force myself to look at pictures of spiders – frightened but also empowered. And through the process, I learn a bit more about myself. ⠀ This deck is great for shadow work but one must come prepared to do the work. ⠀ Creator: @winneganfake Reviewer: @tarotmechanic ⠀ #indiedeckreview #supportindiedecks #indieoracle #supportindieoracle #indiedecks https://www.instagram.com/p/CSkNSZtpFYl/?utm_medium=tumblr
Welcome The Vindur Deck by Leah Pantéa. I fell in love with this deck after seeing the 3rd card Leah posted. I missed out on the first version but am so pleased to finally have this deck in my practice. Now that it’s here, it’s as evokative, intelligent, well-crafted, and engaging as it apeared.
I’ve had a weird aversion to yellow all my life, and yet, yellow is one of the reasons I love this deck so much...which is why I knew it was “meant to be”. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing more of this luscious sunbeam of a deck. Which card are you drawn to? Peace Out, Lovelies...

A fully-illustrated 78-card tarot deck by Emily Lubanko exploring the surreal, the intense, the queer, and the divine.
- Lubanko Tarot FAQ - Part 1 -
What is this? What is the Lubanko Tarot?
The Lubanko Tarot is a richly-illustrated tarot deck of 78 original paintings that traverse the mental landscape of the surreal, the intense, the queer, and the divine.
These cards are meant to help the reader grapple with their personal metaphor and mythos. As a queer artist with a lens of the vivid-surreal, the sensual, and the pain-and-catharsis of life, I am sharing that intensity, that queerness, those shocks of color with you.
How do I use a tarot deck?
For those who are familiar with Tarot, there are many ways to use a deck. Some use them for reflection, some for divination. Some people just enjoy having a special art object and collection of 78 prints to lay out and admire. Some folks also use tarot decks as altar pieces, or isolate specific cards.
I personally use tarot from anything to meditation to therapy tool, and thus I have structured this deck for a wide range of uses. I'm including a guidebook in every deck and box that explains more!
How much will the deck be?
$65 + shipping! Shipping is looking to be about $10-12 in the US, quite a bit more international unfortunately (I have no control over shipping prices, alas.)
What are the cards going to be like in terms of look and feel? What cardstock?
The final deck will be 350gsm high quality matte cardstock with a protective UV varnish. I want this to be both a beautiful and hardy deck, and to be usable and good to shuffle, so I’m going to be testing all of that before I finalize it!
Right now I’m waiting on a fancy prototype of the real deck from the printer, so expect to see an update on that when it gets here! I've already submitted my files to the printer, so it's underway and sure to happen.
Is there a guidebook?
Yes! Each deck will come with a 100+ page guidebook . The guidebook includes: an Introduction, a ‘How to Use This Deck’ section talking about tarot and all the ways you might interact with it, a section on the Major Arcana and all of their meanings (with reversals), a section on the Minor Arcana and all of their meanings (also with reversals) , and a brief Artist Afterword.
Will there be any recommended spreads?
Yes! So in the guidebook that I wrote that comes with every deck, I have a “How to Use This Deck” section that talks about different uses for tarot. I cover the concept of spreads vs meditating on cards, and I provide the simple-but-effective spread that I personally use for most all of my readings. This should give folks a good starting point while also helping some of the different ways to use this deck.
What will the stretch goals be?
The first stretch goal is going to be holographic silver edges on the cards, which I am really excited about. I hope we can get there!
Each further stretch goal will be about enhancing the deck or experience in some way. The second one will be revealed upon Kickstarter launch, and the others will be revealed once the first two are met! Part 2, TBC
