“Could you... do that... again?”
The vampire asked, his soft, pleading voice sounding almost desperate. He knew the other one hadn’t hurt him on purpose, but he wanted and needed more. Only pain could help him.
@indieidol from here
“Nfu~... You always refer to us as aristocrats, as if that’s a negative thing. As if you believe we’ve had it easy. The truth is, none of us have. No one has the privilege of an easy life. Whereas you have made sacrifices and gained a family, living with our family is the sacrifice we make.” He said casually, leaning back and looking up at the ceiling. As much as the Mukami’s antagonized them, he wondered if anyone ever bothered to explain anything to each other~? Wouldn’t it be best to get along?
“... My brothers and I had a hard childhood as well... Yours and mine in particular are not unlike each others, you know?” He mumbled, tilting his head to the side. If Yui had told him the truth about this half breed... Then it was extraordinary how similar they were. “... While I do not claim to know exactly what you went through, I can say with confidence I know what I myself have been through. I was trapped underground as a child for a long while, as a punishment from my father ”

Peaceful. Calm. In a world as hectic and noisy as the one Laito lived in, the Piano was his one escape. Escape from his brothers, his memories, his past, his own self-- The fact he was using a second hand piano in the school music room made no difference. Music was passion, and passion took no one form; this beaten up instrument made the same lovely sounds as his own back at the estate.
Ah, but sadly, footsteps weren’t part of his melody.
As he heard the other approaching, he brought his song to an end- He wasn’t in the habit of playing for others, after all. Eyes opening and focusing on the blonde before him, a small smirk settled across his features.
So, it was this one, was it?
He knew Kou Mukami, of course; anyone with a TV did~! He was cute, he would say that... But he wasn’t a big fan of the name he called his Bitch-Chan. He had nearly as many fangirls as himself at school, and if he was being honest, perhaps a bit more. After all, he was an idol, he supposed. His interest in the man wasn’t hostile like his brothers, more a languid curiosity. He held no interest in this petty rivalry; Why fight over something that could be shared? And who was he to judge? If they wished to throw away their lives for that man, it was none of his concern.
“... My, come to serenade me, Idol-chan~? My own private concert~! I’m flattered!” There was a pause before his smirk turned to a chilly, polite smile. “... However, this piece I’m playing is more of a solo than a duet... So I’ll have to ask you to leave.”
