Though they may not look like it, the Aldhani form a saddening parallel with the real world.
I forgot that I was quoted in this article about Episode six of Andor and yeah, that just about sums up my stance when it comes to Native Representation:

The Tusken Raiders in The Book of Boba Fett are coded as indigenous for episodes 1 and especially in episode 2, since this is a space western and they needed an Native allegory. They are massacred off screen in Episode 3. You do not see the massacre, but you see the burned village and the bodies.
I know they aren't necessarily Native American but the cultural and historical coding was put in place. We know who they are supposed to be in this story. We especially know who they are supposed to be when they are massacred.
I'm tired.
Someone on Twitter (I think it was Dia Lacina?) brought up how there is an element of Indigenous symbolism for Red XIII (obviously) but also for Aeris. And obviously Aeris isn’t Native American coded in the strange way Red XIII kind of is, so I’m wondering, is Aeris Ainu or Emishi coded? Or is Ifalna? She did look like she dressed a little differently from the other characters in the game (from what we could make of her 1997 render).
Can anybody confirm/deny/speculate on this?

There was a conversation on Twitter about a potential live action adaptation of Atlantis: The Lost Empire and who we’d want to play the lead characters.
Since Kida is indigenous-coded, I think either Sivan Alyra Rose (Chambers), Jessica Matten (Frontier) or Roseanne Supernault (Maina) would be really great choices for Kida. I think they look a lot like her and I think they’d really embody the character.

For those who have Twitter this is an amazing thread that discusses the Water Tribe from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
