Can we finally retire this tired take that âConnor doesnât have charismaâ? He absolutely does. The problem is that audiences keep measuring him against a very narrow, Eurocentric idea of charisma: one that always defaults to cocky rogues, witty banter, and action hero-style suave.
And because Connor doesnât perform charm in that way, people dismiss him as âbland.â But charisma isnât just about being a smooth talker. Connorâs charisma is quieter, more grounded. When he speaks, people listen because he actually means it. His sincerity draws people in because heâs not putting on an act or trying to manipulate anyone. And the respect he commands doesnât come from bravado -- it comes from the steadiness and conviction with which he carries himself.
Thatâs also charisma. Just not the kind most gamers have been trained to recognize. And honestly, the fact that so many write him off says less about Connor as a character and more about how narrow our collective lens for âcharismaâ has been.
Connor doesnât lack charisma -- society just lacks the range to see it.

Love that 99% of the surviving original cast of Welcome to Derry got a happy ending, except the native characters!
This makes me sick
White people tortured Indigenous/Native people for years, putting us into residential schools to 'beat the Indian out of the child' and what happened at these prisons they called schools was kids being subjected to slavery, having to be strip of their culture till nothing was left, abused so badly some were beaten to death, forced to starve sometimes and work for food, forced to pray to a so called god that made them suffer in the first place and were raped and SA'd with some even dying from such a horrible torture. They were beaten with rulers and sometimes even with bare hands, leaving bruises and cuts that would even break skin most times. Indigenous/Natives did nothing but try to share the land with the white folk yet still the whites took their land, their sacred animals, their beautiful plants, their fresh air and their innocents. Yet natives/Indigenous were called savages, not the ones doing the genocide. Even today Indigenous/Native women, girls and two spirited people have been kidnapped just so they can repeat the torture all over again raping, SAing, abusing, starving and mocking them. If you think people who have been on the lands longer then white people and other races have been should be kicked out then you need to take a look into yourself a change your morals to what is right. Most of these victims will never be found, let that sink in. Some graves are so old we'll never be able to see their bones to know they were buried because of how long these schools were up for. Mothers who had there babies ripped from their arms, chiefs that watched their tribe lessen everyday as a new kid is taken away, husbands who had to hear the sobs of their wives cries all because of a skin call, a different culture. Not to mention most who faced earlier wars were Indigenous/Native, most early bakers and chefs were Indigenous/Native, most laws and ruling was made by the Indigenouses/Natives, NOT WHITE PEOPLE! You can take our children, you can take our land, you can take our culture, you can try to silence us but you can NOT ERASE our history and all we have went to to survive. Most tribes will never get most of their languages, traditions and stories back but together we can try. I'm from the Seneca tribe and each day I will try to learn more about my culture and what white people tried to take away because they couldn't difference.
