Bryan O'Hara of Tobacco Road Farm in Lebanon, Connecticut led a No-Till Vegetables System lecture at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's annual City Harvest meeting tonight. I worked on his farm in 2005 and 2012 - it is a few miles from my hometown, and is my favorite place on earth! Picture this: barefoot farming, lots of vegetable puns, a giant stone-soup style fresh salad laden lunch hour, and the deepest care for the life of the soil (think Indigenous Microorganisms, no-till practices, biodynamics, rock dusts) and the health of the plants and the people who grow and eat them (despite the catastrophic pollution, weather events, and climate change we are facing). #tobaccoroadfarm #pennsylvaniahorticulturalsociety #cityharvest #phscityharvest #notill #indigenousmicroorganisms #koreannaturalfarming #climatechange #highqualityproduce (at PHS : Pennsylvania Horticultural Society)
