Indivisible (the creators of the Indivisible Guide for action) will be hosting an emergency call on steps you can take to defend the ACA. You can participate at the attached link. The call starts at 6pm PST/9pm EST.

Article of the day: it's Inauguration Day.  The next four years start now.  Kick off Trump's presidency by reading the Indivisible Guide, which offers a playbook for the progressive movement to rebuild itself from the ground up.  As the authors write,

“The [guide] offer a step-by-step guide for individuals, groups, and organizations looking to replicate the Tea Party’s success in getting Congress to listen to a small, vocal, dedicated group of constituents. The guide is intended to be equally useful for stiffening Democratic spines and weakening pro-Trump Republican resolve.

A quick resource

Before the challenge begins, I would like to direct those planning on participating to look over Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda. It was put together by a lot of people who have experience working in the offices of congress people and as such helps focus what will be noticed and what will be most effective. For instance, in the challenge, there will be a number of days you’ll be asked to call your representative. The guide lays out how to act in making those phone calls, by only calling representatives for your district, giving one concise topic, and one concise request rather than explaining your analysis and worldview. 

It’s pretty short, so please look it over and share with others in the next 9 days.
