character in general: Ahhh, another Madara blog. I’m not gonna reiterate my speech here about how I’m critical about Madara portrayals, so. There you have it.how they play them: I have had the pleasure of writing with both your Hashirama and Madara, but in brief, I prefer your Hashirama over your Madara. I will elaborate below.the mun: I love talking with you, Marianne. As much as I love murdering you with angst at 5am. >:)

overall opinion: There’s a reason why I prefer your Hashirama over your Madara, because I believe that you grasp Hashirama’s character better than you do Madara’s and have mastered consistency over him better than this muse. With your Hashirama, I find him to be most of the time believable, and it’s still Hashirama to me no matter if you’re writing a lycan verse, modern verse, or core WSE/Founding verse. You even have his mood swings down good, and you can write him in believable anger and rage. So this is why I love your Hashirama.
Now, you CAN write Madara. You understand he’s also an intellectual, but consistency is where you lose me, especially here on Tumblr. It took me a while to have a proper ship written out with you because sometimes you lapse on your consistency with Madara’s portrayal. There were instances he rings as overly desperate, clingy and even needy, and canon material so far has not given us that. Curious, because with Hashirama some of these may be excusable and easily written off, but with Madara, you handle things with more delicacy, subtlety and restraint. Perhaps when he’s in battle, I can understand if his behavior changes drastically. But in other settings? We have seen he’s capable of restraint and subtlety.
Final point then is…your consistency on Madara needs further work.
