For those who don't know, Kompas is like one of the leading news broadcaster in Indonesia. Like ok there's CNN, but Kompas is the go to textbook example of "legitimate news". like, take it with a grain of salt, bc this data was sourced from a survey website with only like 200ish responders average. i refuse to do more extensive research for what literally amounts to a salty midnight online rant
Like, ok, sure, this probably just some fodder article done to fill the ridiculously high demand of mainstream media. And sure, the myth quoted is so basic that sourcing from textbooks would probably give you similar stories to actual research.
But still-
That is a seventh grade textbook, written for seventh graders. It's literally taken from a middleschooler's language exercise about morals and hard work. It's like if some big media like Natgeo sourced their articles from like, I dont know, Gastronuts or something, but worse. no shade on Gastronuts. it is a good childrens programme, but it's for children.
Like, op writer newsman mamser, please, can you not??? like, find a more respectable source??? than a seventh grader textbook???? Is that so hard??
Writing "journal" in front of it isn't going to magically make it not a children textbook. It won't magically make it more respectable either.
