Corinne Bailey Rae recalls being criticized for not being "sexy enough" early in her career.
7/26/25.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with hero worship. This blog is littered with it. Blone Noble is pretty upfront - they worship at the altar of David Bowie - specifically, Berlin-era Bowie.
"Life's New Adventure" was released last May by the small, San Francisco based label Industry Standards. Their big cartel website posts this quote from a review about the LP:
"Channeling the synth-heavy sounds of late 70s Berlin, Blone Noble channels piano-pounding glam rock fused with new wave – a genre he calls 'doomsday disco' – penning fitting anthems for the desperate and paranoid times in which we live. There’s a swagger in his hips, a sneer on his lips, and an acerbic bite to his satirical lyrics, bringing to mind Sparks, Frank Tovey, Roxy Music, Heaven 17, and of course Station To Station-era David Bowie. The Cold War is alive and well in this Iron Curtain-era sound – this is a love song for a pandemic-stricken dystopia. Stop worrying and love the bomb, whatever form it takes – for death always brings rebirth. 1970s Berlin could just as easily be 2020s America these days – and there’s always a wall to tear down, be it love or be it war."
The Bandcamp page states it more succinctly: "Thrashing together the sharp swagger of Bowie, the clipped cool of Fad Gadget, the theatrical brood of Scott Walker, all lacquered in synths sleek enough to slice."
Tip Time Tuesday! 3D modelling
It’s easier to model from a lower polycount to a higher polycount than the other way around.
The obsession and worship of women with high voices is gettin real tirin and is startin to make me think it ain't a surface level thing. This feels different than the very clear overall obsession (for both men and women) with youth, and how that filters into the popularity of artists with high(er) notes. They're still confined to gender, so men do get ridiculed for soundin androgynous. Misogyny gives women more scrutiny and policin about it, though, so it's only blatant when you're a fan of female artists and interact with the fanbases and world around them.
Sustaining Excellence in the Europe Meat Processing Market
The Europe Meat Processing Market is fundamentally shifting its focus toward ethical production, recognizing that the long-term success of the sector depends on animal welfare and environmental sustainability. With production reaching 41 million tons in 2024, the roadmap toward 50.3 million tons by 2033 is built on the foundation of responsible, transparent, and efficient practices. This transformation is not just a defensive measure against changing public opinion but a strategic initiative to build resilient brands that can withstand the demands of the modern, socially conscious retail landscape.
Improving Outcomes with Europe Meat Processing Slaughtering Efficiency
Focusing on Europe meat processing slaughtering efficiency is a key element in reducing the environmental footprint of large-scale meat production. By streamlining the processing cycle, firms are able to optimize the energy and water usage associated with each unit produced, significantly lowering their overall carbon intensity. These efficiency gains are vital for firms looking to align their operations with the European Green Deal, as they provide a clear path toward reducing waste and operational costs simultaneously, ensuring that growth targets are met in an environmentally compatible manner.
The Power of Traceability in the Digital Age
Traceability has become the defining characteristic of European meat products in the global market. Through the use of blockchain and digital labeling, processors are now able to provide consumers and retailers with a complete, verifiable history of every product, from the farm source to the final packaging. This level of transparency is building unprecedented levels of trust, allowing European producers to justify premium price points and retain a strong market share. As the industry moves toward 2033, this commitment to transparency will continue to be a primary growth driver, reinforcing the market’s reputation for quality and safety.
Building a Foundation for Long-Term Growth
The road to 50.3 million tons is clear: it involves combining high-tech efficiency with a deep commitment to the values that define the European food industry. By investing in the workforce, upgrading aging infrastructure, and leading the global charge on sustainable production, the industry is creating a future where high-volume production and responsible stewardship go hand-in-hand. This strategic balance ensures that the European meat industry will not only meet its volumetric targets but will also remain a high-value, high-trust partner in the global food supply chain for decades to come.
