I feel like if inference had a secret lover he would be very protective of them and the fact they exist.
Yandere twist on that would be he keeps them in an isolated area hidden from everyone else and when he slips away from the crowd, it's to check on you.
Back to normal inference, I feel like he be a kind and compassionate lover (even though it's secret).
I also feel like the reason he keeps your relationship a secret is due to how many enemies he has, and he doesn't want you to be placed in harms way.
Inference is a stoic but kind soul and I really feel like he'd be there for you whenever he possibly could, the lovesick type of yearning when he's away from you at work.
You're his safe place, hidden away from the rest of the world, only his to love and cherish.
