13 has been taken! The pool ever dwindles! Onward!
#21 is “Come Down” by Anderson .Paak, a chill and sublime groove. I love the sly complaint in his voice when he says “you drank up all my liquor!!! come on, what i’m posed to do now??”
#33 is “Call Off Your Dogs” by Lake Street Dive. This band is the only band who lists The Beatles as an influence that really makes me think, yeah, I can see that. This song is just a great old-fashioned “why’d you do me wrong?” jam. “This is what I get for being civilized!”
#88 is “Daddy Lessons” by Beyonce feat. the Dixie Chicks. My old a cappella group (Owl Creeks WOO) sang this in spring and I did the arrangement, so obviously this is going to be on the list, lmao. Anyway they sounded amazing and Beyonce is amazing. Most songs, after I arrange them, I can never listen to them again because I’m so sick of them, so it’s p wild that I still listen to this one for fun.
