being born on the i-5 on the way to the hospital in umpqua bay but coop was ready to enter this world before they could make it / meeting the love of his life arden at the playground at three years old / playing in the rain at six years old and nearly getting struck by lightning / driving for the first time down seventh avenue at eight years old, sitting on his dad's lap / watching his dad die in the hospital at thirteen years old after a long battle of lung cancer / getting his first girlfriend at fourteen / singing and playing guitar in a terrible garage band that formed when he was fifteen - they played two times at the local coffeehouse and that was the peak of their musical careers / crashing a car on seventh avenue at sixteen years old / getting addicted to cocaine and dealing with a long and tortuous path to recovery that almost always ends in relapsing and starting fresh / after watching each other go through failed relationship after failed relationship, coop asks arden to be his and she says yes / getting a job as a gas station attendant right after graduating high school / getting fired two weeks later because he was too high to function on his shift / get job, get fired, rinse, repeat for a few years / moving into a tiny but adorable house right outside of the heart of town with arden at nineteen / proposing to arden by the water when they're twenty years old / drugs drugs drugs / arden finding out she's pregnant when they're twenty-two and breaking off the engagement and asking him to come back into her life after he's sober / he doesn't get better for a long time / missing the birth of his daughter because he was strung out on drugs underneath a bridge / overdoses at twenty-four and ends up in the hospital - they call arden as she's still his emergency contact / after rehab, he decides to finally put his family first / getting a job as a bartender at the brewery / proposing again at twenty-six and she says yes - again, this time everything is better / making arden mrs. blake on july 1st, 2017 / wanting another baby / struggling newlyweds / recovering cocaine addict / one day at a time

wants + needs: as you can see, i haven’t exactly fleshed out her backstory. i’m open to anything tbh, but specifically, i’ll be requesting her 2 children (who are also requested for the toketie verse!!! yay plots!!!) and her best friend from hogwarts who stayed by her side as she grieved the loss of her husband (and is secretly falling in love with her). feel free to hmu if any of these roles interest you!

if you’re looking for daisy, chances are she’s with her long term boyfriend, reggie, at work trying to help people through their pain, or at home being the homebody she is.

most wanted:

carpool – i’m gonna have her work at an office near/at the medical center in umpqua bay and i think it’d be cute to have friends who she carpools with regularly! car ride bonding can be the best/worst and maybe they can grab lunch together sometimes too.

girls night (in) – ladies around her age who are cool with chilling at someone’s place or on their patio rather than goin out; wine, card games, bunco, manicures, pampering, et cetera... rather innocent fun and gossip when there’s nothing to do!!!!

double dates – daisy and regulus have been dating a few years and then some, and it’s probably good for them to go out and about with other couples even if it’s inexpensive or just for happy hour. :)

ellen elizabeth watson-andrews // 56 // toketie cove

born and raised in toketie cove, ellen was always that kid in class with the answer to every question and the big dreams. her father was a princeton educated historian who - having spent the majority of his life living in new york city - longed for a simpler life. he was hired as a history professor at the university of portland where he met ellen’s mother who was also teaching in the history department. after five years of marriage, the two decided to leave portland for toketie cove. 

ellen is the eldest of two. she has a sister named moira who is two years her junior. during childhood, the two were very close, but the increasing amount of differences between them resulted in a strained relationship as the years progressed. ellen was a peculiar child, preferring the company of adults over children and books over the playground. 

she became good friends with a little boy next door. he - much like her - didn’t exactly fit in. they were attached at the hip from childhood through their teenage years, only drifting apart when ellen was accepted to study philosophy at her father’s alma mater.

during her princeton years, she met and fell in love with a fellow princeton student - lawson andrews. after three years of dating, the two tied the knot shortly after graduation. ellen went on to graduate school in new york city. and while lawson was eager to start a family, ellen had made it very clear she was keen on them getting financially secure before trying for a baby. 

after working as a pencil pusher for three years at the new york times, ellen finally earned enough recognition and was scooped up by the new yorker where she embarked on a “big girl” career in writing. 

with a higher paying job and enough money in savings, ellen finally felt comfy enough to try for a child. sadly, there were difficulties with conception. as a result, they decided to hold off and focus on other things. three years later, ellen found out she was pregnant with their first child. she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

not wanting to raise their son in the city, they decided to move to ellen’s hometown so she could be closer to family. ellen’s currently serving as editor of toketie cove’s daily newspaper and writes freelance articles for various online news sites.

wants and needs: i’ll be throwing up more official requests once the site opens, but if you’re interested in throwing a character into any of these roles, feel free to hmu. first, i need ellen and lawson’s two children. they have a son (29) and daughter (20). 

i also need ellen’s childhood best friend who hasn’t really left toketie. he’s been secretly in love with her for years but was never brave enough to say anything. i have other ideas in mind for their relationship in future verses as well!!!

regulus mahler // 30 // hufflepuff // herbologist

sparknotes backstory:

★ muggleborn. his parents are new age hippies and jumped for joy at the prospect of having a “wizard” in the family. unlike many of his other muggleborn classmates, he wasn’t subjected to any cruelty because of his newfound powers. to this day, he remains very close to his parents and firmly has one foot in the magical world and another in the muggle. sorted into hufflepuff house without so much as a hesitation from the sorting hat.

★ while he got above average marks in most of his classes, regulus wasn’t a genius by any means. he mostly blended in with the rest of his hufflepuff classmates.

★ after graduating, he worked a few odd jobs here and there before finally landing a job as the assistant to a well regarded herbologist. he was a glorified gofer, only being allowed near the greenhouse on the rare occasion.

★ he recently opened up a successful potion shop along with one of his very close friends from hogwarts. regulus handles the harvesting, growing each component with love and care. his friend (having a knack for potioneering) is the one who physically brews the potions.

wants and needs: what i really need for him is his business partner and best friend. they own a potion shop right outside of hogsmeade. their gimmick is that each ingredient is grown with love and care. there’s a lil greenhouse near the shop where regulus grows each and every potion component which his business partner uses to carefully brew the potions they sell! aside from that, i’m open to enemies, friends, etc. feel free to hmu if you’d like to talk plots!
