At some point, David and I ended up at John's place. He'd crashed on the couch by around 2:30am, drunk, high, and my ride home. I tweeted to myself, @thechandrakr, notes on what I think about the infinite. 

#infinity implies a) an arbitrarily large number (should just call that M) b) some never-coming endpoint of the whole world c) 'the infinite': some transcendental domain of what will always exist and, sometimes also, always has existed

I prefer infinition to infinity, referring to an active processing that measures a collection of things. To infine is to enumerate a number.

I use the adjective 'infinite' to describe those collections that infine

One can enumerate numbers by using only their relation to some objects/formulas (like pi, e, phi), also with taking a useful problematic (i)

Numbers measure the differences between some infinition and a 'zero' that defines the places enumerated over to determine a number
