A/n: Imagine living in the world of Avengers: Infinity War when Thanos did the snap and created the blip.
When your day first started, it all goes well. It was a sunny day with a slight breeze, you woke up in a great mood, the birds who live on the ledge outside your window were chirping a happy tune, and you had a date with your boyfriend Jackson Wang! You were at a park that Jackson wanted to bring you to and again all was going well, until…your body started to feel heavy.
“Jacks honey, I don’t feel well.”
“What’s wrong, babe?”
“I don’t know. I just feel really tired? Which I don’t get because we literally have coffee cake and chocolates galore!” You say while laying your head on his lap.
“Maybe you're dehydrated? It’s hot out. Let me get you some water.”
However, as Jackson was reaching over you, your eyes follow until you look to someone dissipate into ashes.
“Oh my gosh!” You yelp, bolting upright.
“What?”
“Jackson, look!” Your fingers point to the area in front of you and as Jackson’s eye, now following your fingers, but to what was he looking for?
“Babe, is this you trying to prank me?” He laughs, but that was short-lived because Jackson sees some guys running in your guys’ directions, not looking where he was going, trying to catch a baseball. Suddenly, Jackson lunges forward in hopes to protect you from impact, but it never came. You both look up to see the final parts of that person turning to ashes and flowing off with the wind. Suddenly their friend starts disappearing. One by one so do many others. Cries are heard all around from babies to adults calling out for loved ones. Bangs of cars colliding with infrastructure or other cars. Car alarms and horns adding to the mix as well. You hug Jackson, out of pure terror.
“What is going on?” You ask him.
“I don’t know babe, but everything will be alright.”
Just then that same feeling of heaviness blankets your body and you fall into Jackson’s chest. You begin to lose feeling in your toes, your legs, all the way to the crown of your head. Jackson pulls away only to hold onto your arm while checking your body.
“Babe, baby? No! Shit baby stay with me.”
“Jackson, you’re starting to fade, too.”
In a matter of seconds, you were gone and all that surrounds you is complete and utter darkness. However, that too was short-lived, before you could register what was happening a bright light blinds you. Your eyelids flutter in a flurry, adjusting to the light to find yourself in paradise. The weather was just as nice as the beginning that today and just like when you were on your date with Jackson.
“Jackson! Oh my goodness, Jackson? Jackson where are you?”
“Y/n? Y/n!” You hear Jackson’s voice from behind you, causing you to spin on your heels before running to his voice. He saw you first and bolts forward, his legs moving at cheetah speed. One, two, three, and into the arms of each other you meet, hugging like your lives depended on it.
“Jackson, where are we?”
“I don’t know babe. But I’ll keep you safe, just stay with me, okay?”
