Hudson James Ingles-Colina (January 30th 1982-April 12th 2045) was an American politician for the Independent Progessive Party who served as President of the United States from 2033-2037. His first term was focused on combating the effects of the Greater Depression while his second term was dominated by the outbreak of the Second Civil War. Ingles-Colina is widely credited with laying the foundations for the restructuring of the American political system after the end of the Second Civil War and spearheading the coalition of progressive liberal parties that helped pave the way for the raft of legislation commonly known as the Great Reformation.

William Blythe Rotterdam NCP MA ,born July 22 2023, was an attorney and member of the New Conservative Party who served in both Houses of Congress from 2061-2069 and as a member of Senate from 2069 until his resignation to run in the 2096 Election.
Rotterdam was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts, where he became a lawyer after serving in the Army during the Second Civil War. In 2060 he was elected to the House of Represenatives and in 2068 he became a Senator. In 2076 President Margaret Lee picked Rotterdam as her running mate but was defeated by the ticket of Hayden Caine and Amelia Wong.

Raymond Martin Stevens, born August 19 2046, is an American politician and lawyer who served as the President of the United States from 2093-2101. A member of the American Liberal Party, he served as the Attorney General of Michigan from 2077-2079 and as Governor of Michigan from 2079-2081 . He attended Harvard Law School where he met his future wife Cheryl Wilkes. He was elected in the 2093 US Presidential Election where he defeated the incumbent President Tina Ridley and the Independent candidate Conrad Drexler. In foreign policy, he ordered US intervention in the Central American Wars culminating in the signing of the Treaty of San Francisco, putting an end to the conflict on October 14 2094. In the 2096 US Presidential Election he defeated Bill Rotterdam of the New Conservatives and returning Independent candidate Conrad Drexler to win a second term.

Jerome Aaron Bernstein, ALP NY, born September 1st 2041, is an American politician. He is a member of the American Liberal Party. Born to working class Jewish parents in Brooklyn, New York, Bernstein was a graduate of Alder Heights High School before graduating from Chicago University in 2064. As a student, Bernstein was active in the Liber8 movement as well as UMBRA. After running several unsuccessful third party campaigns in the 2070s, he was eventually elected Mayor of New York in 2081 and was re-elected three times. After that he was elected to the House of Representatives for the district of Alder Heights in 2090. He would serve in this position for 16 years before becoming a US Senator in 2106.

O primeiro dicionário de Língua Gestual Portuguesa (LGP), que foi publicado há oito anos, está agora disponível online. No site da Infopédia é possível aprender, através de uma explicação e de um vídeo, os gestos de mais de 5.300 palavras.
Ao seleccionar uma palavra, aparece um vídeo onde uma intérprete de LGP vocaliza a palavra e faz o gesto correspondente. É também disponibilizado uma descrição do movimento e uma imagem onde é mostrado um pormenor do gesto.
A autora do dicionário, Ana Bela Baltazar, recorda ao P3 que demorou “quatro anos” a fazer o dicionário. “É um projeto muito ambicioso”, acrescenta. As palavras que foram escolhidas têm em conta o “uso mais frequente pela comunidade surda” assim como a “existência de gestos correspondentes diretos”. No entanto, a psicóloga reforça que ainda não são “suficientes” avançando ainda que já falou com a editora sobre a possibilidade de aumentar o dicionário.
A Língua Gestual Portuguesa está incluída na Constituição da República como uma das línguas oficiais portuguesas desde 1997, sendo o seu dia celebrado a 15 de novembro.
