3 PLEASe, especially because kano (i think it's kano) yells WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE in today's episode just do it
3) Every day for weeks, someone has been sneaking into my muse’s home or office and leaving a note which reads “Why did you do it?” I will write a drabble about what my muse assumes the note is about.
Ayano couldn’t say she enjoyed living in the slums, but, as long as she had a roof over her head, she was sure she’d be fine. Giving a delicate stretch as she walked through the shabby door of her new home, Ayano ran a hand through her dark chestnut locks. I should probably be heading to bed now, she mused softly to herself as she stepped further into the house. Or perhaps I’ll go run some errands. I am kind of sleepy though, so maybe I should probably just-
Pause. Had that paper been there, before..? Tacked messily to a wall with a dirtied white tack, a note hung, the letters cut crudely out of what appeared to be magazines and newspapers.
"Eh?" Ayano approached the paper carefully, mentally debating to herself whether it was a ransom of some sort or perhaps a warning, like the stories she so often heard on the news, usually told to her by a grim-looking man adorned in a suit too fancy for the morning news. Getting within a proximity just close enough to make out the words, her eyes scanned carefully over the letters.
Why did you do it?
She froze, her breath catching in her throat. It couldn’t be. Surely the note must not be talking about that, or perhaps it was intended for one of her roommates, yes, that had to be it. Ayano attempted to reassure herself. Regardless, she decided, it had to go. Plucking off the paper from the wall, the tack still in place, she dumped it into the nearest wastebin, turning to where her bed lay. It couldn’t possibly be discussing my… well, my decision, could it? she thought to herself, flopping onto her cot and staring up at the ceiling. That’s all in the past, right..? Well, either way, I should forget about it. Tomorrow’s a whole new day, anyway.
That was her last thought before her eyes fluttered closed.
Ayano woke early the next morning, sleep still heavy in her mind as she pulled herself up from her sleeping quarters, rubbing lazily at her eyes as she did so. The words on the note still hung in the back of her mind, however, as she stepped off of her cot. No, forget about it, she chided firmly to herself. That’s all in the past, now, and it’s time to put it behind me.
Entering the main room of the shabby house with quick steps, Ayano decided that she was to run errands today, seeing as she hadn’t been given a chance to the day prior. However, just as she was about to set out, her gaze fell once more on the dirty white tack on her wall, in the same place as before. Except this time, unlike yesterday, there was a note pinned under it.
No.
Why did you do it?
No.
Ayano raced out of the door, without looking back, fresh tears streaking down her cheeks.
All I wanted to do was save them…
Haruka…
Takane…
Kido…
Seto..
Kano…
I’m sorry.
