Ingunn's child was named Halla Theory: clip 2 from mid-fire ritual
[clip 1 | clip 2 | clip 3]
So I kinda realized that the idea that Illtauga / Ingunn's child was named Halla is a theory born from fairly obscure "blink and you miss it" in-game references? So I have three video clips now as evidence.
Clip 1 is from optional, distressing audio you can hear in Freyslaug where a woman calls her baby "Halla" while they are both in active danger from raiders. This audio is only heard if you don't trigger the puzzles prior to searching the buildings. Clip 3 is incoming (ETA: here) and is from the cut scene at the end of this chapter!
This is Clip 2 and occurs midway through the fire ritual when the rock statues begin to crumble through the run. The subtitles very clearly mark out that Illtauga says the name "Halla" as an expression of grief (which was established as a name in Clip 1).
(Side note: this footage is from a Dark Rot Mode run I've been working through in order to help myself with my Reference Notes... I definitely lost a life to get this footage because I got distracted while trying to capture the video clip, haha, but it's fine! I got my trophy last week!!!! Now doing all this has WAY lower stakes for me.)

She can see the thread that binds the world, can feel its hidden pulse, and knows when that pulse quickens. She feels it now. A tremor on her skin. A being taking shape. Something is coming.

»Sails!«
Yves was with the weavers when the call sounded through the village, picked up by voice after voice, and he had never seen them drop their work so quickly. And he understood, more completely than he would have believed — his heart, too, leapt at the message, and following their example, he didn’t feel bad abandoning his work just as swiftly.
It took a long while for the ship that had been spotted to actually reach the shore — long enough for a whole crowd to gather at the pier. Yves stood with Runar’s family, next to Ingunn holding little Bragi on her arm.

Ingunn’s child arrived in June.
Yves was cleaning up after his lonely dinner when the midwife’s pupil and assisstant barged into the hut without knocking. She barely took time to breathe a »Sorry« when Yves flinched, too busy rushing over to the shelf that held Runar’s dried herbs, and rummaging briefly before she withdrew with a bundle of them.
»You can come!« she called back at him, already on her way out.

“Go get some fresh air,” Signy had said, all but shoving Runar out of his own house. “You’ll go crazy in here. I’ll keep an eye on him.”
He trusted her, and now he was walking along the seashore, listening to the waves crashing into rocks with their steady, reassuring rhythm. Yves wouldn’t be happy to wake up without him there, but he also wouldn’t be happy to wake up with him, so what difference did it really make?
Ingunn walked beside him, keeping quiet. He knew what the point of this whole conspiracy was: the women wanted to give him an opportunity to vent his feelings. But what did it even matter? It was Yves who needed reassurance that none of them could give.
🔼 ingunn how do you feel about your brother’s new....something? Do you think he’ll keep it? Do you want him to?
Doesn’t want to answer: 1/10
Ingunn chuckles. “Yves? Well, I won’t pretend I get why he brought him here, but that’s Runar. He sees a hurt creature, he wants to help.” She shrugs, smiling. “I think the plan is to bring him back home when he’s healed up, so probably next summer, when they sail again.” Her expression turns thoughtful. “I wouldn’t mind if he kept him around, I mean... he does seem to be very fond of him. And the little one has been trying to make himself useful, so it’s not like he’s dead weight. Personally, I can’t say much else about him, honestly. He’s shy, he hasn’t been talking much to anyone.” She grins fleetingly. “If even the weavers don’t have gossip to share about him, there is none.”
