4) What is your favourite genre to write for?

Maybe this is a cop-out, but I really like things that are cross genre. I’m kind of done being limited by stuff, you know? DOWN WITH LABELS, blah blah. Like, when I was writing greenhouses, when I was doing the romance and there was original ending which was essentially a romance ending, and I was like “You know.. this is missing something. This story needs some real life event.” 

Although writing PWP is also great, even if I haven’t done it in a while. IDK. This is a hard question. 

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

I don’t get that many complaints, but there are definitely “Um... did this just happen?” But they’re in AO3 comments and it’s my policy not to answer AO3 comments unless it’s a really interesting question,in which case I tell them to make it a tumblr ask. I tend to think of AO3 as a one-way platform, basically. 

That means, if you asked me a comment question and I never responded, ask me on tumblr! Also I can tag tumblr asks, etc. 

50) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?

Probably fluff. The world is so shitty - if all I could put into the world was one kind of thing, i’d like it to be a good thing. And writing smut just gets boring after a while tbh. There’s only so many holes.

could you do prompt 12 for wham?

We were pretending to be lovers but I’m not pretending anymore and I have to know if you feel the same way. 

When they got home from the gala, Alex was strangely serious for how drunk George thought he was. Usually, Alex was a handsy drunk, and that had good sides and bad sides. They made a good team at these events: George got someone smooth talking to promote his causes and Alex got the networking he needed. It was nice that Alex was hot, too, and their showing was just strange enough that people didn’t ask other questions (to his face, at least). So they just kept doing it, and sometimes Alex made dinner, and they went to the bar on occasion, and sometimes they fucked.  

Oh, there was a puzzled tangle there, because even when it was stressful to take care of Alex, he didn’t mind it. Liked it, even, sort of. 

Alex looked incredibly handsome in his tuxedo, even as he stumbled over taking off his shoes. Alex took an exaggeratedly deep breath and looked up at him. “I have to tell you something,” Alex said, and then he started before George could stop him, “I know this is all convenient and useful to you because I can talk and you can’t, and I know that you have a type because I’ve seen your exes, and I know that you are awkward and weird and don’t know how to deal with your feelings, and I know that you think this is all stupid and dumb, but you come to my shitty apartment and eat dinner and buy me takeout and tell me to go to bed sometimes and --” Finally, another breath, and George used the moment to let his brain catch up to all those things Alex had just said “--but It’s not just ... it’s not just convenient and useful to me. I actually fucking care about your dumb old ass. So. If you want to leave you can.”  

Alex stood, still in the doorway, shoeless and staring at George’s shoe rack. George’s stomach dropped, looking at him all crestfallen. No, he couldn’t have that. He couldn’t let Alex look like that, when he could stop it. He swept back over and took that face in his arms, and Alex was staring at him, combative and hopeful, like he was. 

“I don’t want to leave,” George said, and the tangle made sense now, becuase Alex could always put words to his tangles.

"I’ve never seen anything like the way you handled that. I’m just so moved." Whamilton, verse of choice?

Hamilton, at the hotel bar, had already finished one rocks glass filled with ice and was working on the second when Washington dispatched the reporter. He was not sure he’d ever met a reporter or journalist that he’d liked; mealy-mouthed, nosy group too interested in things outside their purview and pay grade. This one had obviously come unprepared, and had stumbled away, tripping over both his words and his feet. 

Hamilton put his elbow on the bar and his chin in his elbow and stared at him with fake-soft eyes. “Dear god,” he said, “My dreams have come true. I have found a hero. The most powerful and efficient man to ever be crossed by an unfortunate moron reporter.” He finished off the second glass and stood. “Want to get out of here?” 

He knew what Hamilton meant, but even so it would be a relief to be out of this irritatingly public space. “Yes,” he said, and began to walk toward the elevator, feeling the man’s intense eyes on him.

For the promt thing, maybye Hamwash for This wasn’t meant to be a date, but we’ve had such a good time and now it’s 2 a.m. and I should really go home… though with Ham it might just be them working really late.

The perk of being stood up at the bar is that you’re already at the bar. You don’t even have to go anywhere to soothe your feelings of rejection. You can look at your watch twice more, realize that if he was coming he would have been here by now, and order another moscow mule.

Maybe being forced to listen to this annoying guy on the phone next to him is about the same as going on another awkward date.  George has to remember about AirPods, because usually when he sees drunks in a bar winding themselves, they’re just talking to themselves. The guy is talking about food stamps and George can’t help but be interested, and then the guy puts his fancy headphones away, looks at him, and goes, “Jeff Fucking Bezos could literally end world poverty tomorrow. And instead people have to fill out a massive form in a language they can’t read so they can get barely anything. Bullshit, right?” 

Now it’s 2 AM and he’s feeling all warm from the gin, and even better from talking to this guy - Alex - about shit. Also, what the gin has noticed, is that Alex is sitting much closer to him than he thought, and is looking at him with intense eyes, drinking what George has learned are G&Ts. 

“So,” Alex says, “You got stood up earlier. My first meeting is at 11, which is late. So. You can be un-stood up.” 

This takes a moment. And then again. And then he goes, “Yeah.” 

“I work in public service, though. So none of these business jackass rich shit.” 

Alex takes his hand before he can respond. Gets them onto the subway. Off into a crummy building, up four flights of steps, and then is kissing him against his door. 

“You know I didn’t include earlier that you are incredibly fucking hot, and I’d really like you to fuck me,” Alex says, once he’s pulled his tongue out of George’s mouth.

“Yeah,” George says, because that’s where he is on thinking, right now.

so are you a fan of zelda: breath of the wild? (sorry if that's a stupid question, just saw gifs scrolling thru your tumblr...) i love that game!!!!!!

that is not a stupid question! 

i am a long time zelda fan and have played, to some extent, every zelda game besides the adventures of link. i haven’t beaten BOTW because i never learned how to fight and i can’t get into ganon’s castle ... and also stardew valley came out for the switch.

So I’m just gonna add to your rehab stuff! -Alex steals coloring books and hides them under his mattress along with markers so he can color late into the night because coloring books and markers are restricted to the day room - whatever poor nurse is assigned to checking in on Alex/ patients in general has an insane amount of control. Alex has proposed that they fist fight him several times, and has also proposed that the nurse help him break out. It’s wild. - (cont)

-sneaking in your phone is hard as hell but Alex is also really scrappy and creative. What would George’s reaction be to getting a call that Alex had been using his phone to plot his leave on the first day?

you know how people say sometimes kids act out for attention? 

YEAH.

also GW won’t pick it up becuase it’s not a number he knows. But he will check the voice. “It’s Alex, i’m using this phone in rehab that i sneaked up in my ass. Anyway, I’ll be into work on Tuesday. Thanks!”
