CVL: Initial moodboard

As I mentioned in my previous notes, I am interested in doing branding and packaging since we did it in the first year and it was something I really enjoyed.

So I went to the Behance page where you can find any type of project I have been interested in Korean culture for a while and I had thought about building a new brand for beauty products since their skin is very well cared for in that country. Therefore, I decided to make a moodboard with some projects that I liked or that caught my attention due to their colours and product display.

For example, the brand Coreanna and Kormestik selected them for the type of typography that makes me think of the minimalist, fine concept and its simplicity that contains its logo.

Apart from the Korean culture, I am generally interested in knowing and learning new things about the Asian culture and personally that I am Asian because it makes me more curious to know something about the country where I was born which is Chinese.

So my other idea is to do packaging on Chinese tea since tea is something that is consumed worldwide. I wanted to create a moodboard because I saw some super original packaging, because of its colours, the type of fonts it uses and the way the set is displayed. These examples will give me ideas on how I want my initial idea to progress to the actual idea.

The Korean tea brand draws my attention a lot because of its illustrations that it contains and one of its sets contains a bag where it shows its tea logo. On the other hand, another brand that I found very curious is set, which has an elongated circle in the middle and shows a design and uses the pull system.

I think that the system is practical and its design is simple but at the same time modern due to its colours.

Things that I am interested in exploring in this project 

I have an interest in exploring and learning things from other countries such as their language or cultures

I would still like to explore promoting a brand about cosmetics or personal products

Something that I am intrigued about is exploring something that contains fashion, such as the comparison of fashion in other countries.

I would like to create a brand identity or rebrand for the packaging on some food products, cosmetics or personal products, store or app

Starting points that I am interested in are 

Advocacy:

For a change, aiming to raise awareness and actively make change happen

Engaging with the idea that as visual communicators we have a social responsibility towards the large community we operate in 

In this context, context, society could mean the whole of humanity, a particular country or a local community 

Participation

In which the message is dependent on the involvement/ contribution of an audience

In this context the audience or consumer actively participates in shaping the creation and circulation of context: the nature of the creative outcomes is not society controlled by the design

CVL: Initial ideas

Things that I enjoy the most doing 

I liked the typographic was one of the projects that I liked the most about how to create my own font

Branding is something that I think I enjoy doing, for example when we had the packaging brief where I was exploring patterns from different countries or where I have to rebrand

Another field that I am interested in is creating an app or website where logos also enter, it is something that I do not feel that I have not explored much and I would like to continue exploring.

Things I don't enjoy doing are 

For example, the advertising campaigns are something that I discovered doing with the D&AD project that I didn't enjoy doing, I don't know if it was because of the theme or in general it was something challenging for me.

Another thing that I'm not sure I enjoyed was making videos because I found it a bit difficult to create the correct timing for each text and I didn't have much knowledge in this field either.

The illustrations of a book are something that I had fun doing, but I'm not interested in publishing books.

Initial Wireframes

These wireframes are the initial ideas of an app, although we still have to continue developing the ideas of our app. The octopus is the main protagonist which will help you to get to know yourself better based on your needs by asking questions or giving you options to choose from, in which doing so facilitates the configuration. You will have an option if you want to listen to music, sample the studio by linking with your Spotify, design the study room, then the clock where you calculate the hours you are doing and finally, there will be some secondary characters in which they will help you to rest, drink water, eat in ways that so you don’t forget to take care of yourself. There will also be a wireframe where it shows all the study hours of a week you earn points and you can exchange them for a coffee pass at Starbucks or unlock custom items for the octopus since it is a main character.

Visual Identity

Initial logo ideas with my name

This experiment is the initial ideas about how my visual identity is going to be made, and how I had created this black and white font that I wanted to put a background on. So my eyes can get an idea of what the logo would look like when you put it in the portfolio. Something that I realized is that the n is having some problems so I will have to recreate it. On the other hand here I was playing with the layout of the letters since my name has 3 initials, at this moment I like the designs that are in the circle and the thickness of the letters of the letters I have to pay attention to the next designs

Experiemnt with my name

The first screenshot was the first font I had created from scratch and I intended to compare the thickness to see how the same logo would look. The most that call your attention is between the first and the third because I think they are more modern and elegant

In one of the previous posts I began to experiment with selecting the fonts that I liked the most from the list and I was making comparisons of which font would work best with the letters that I had created. I was also trying to solve the problem with the n so that it had the same font but the error is in the first country, which is design, you have to make changes.
