Actually I think he has a chance. While Ink is more average in comparison to L (actually I just forgot L's feats but he's like super genius), he is very smart and he could definitely trick Light into revealing needed information.

Considering everything happening in Exit/Corners Ink would be very open-minded toward any possibility, no matter how bizarre, so killing with some notebook wouldn't be out of question, even if he doubts idea initially

Also there was some niche rule about misspelling name. Something like "if you misspell same name on accident 4 times you can't kill that person with deathnote anymore ". Maybe Ink could manage to make Light write his misspelled/fake name and be invincible to death note (still don't know how it would happen)

So yeah maybe Ink could solve Kira's murders
