#terra cotta #ocs #traditional #art #go ahead peggle give my ocs my issues so we can commiserate #yuppp this is mostly about my eating disorder tw for rest of tags #its incredible how ive made so much mental health progress except for that. i still feel 13 when the thoughts grab me #or 11. or 9. im not sure when i started hating my body. i just know i dont like myself on the days when i cant stand living in it #its hard to look at terra sometimes because im envious of her and im scared for her and i cant think about her for too long or ill weep #i made her in 2018 to feel less lonely when i really didnt think i was gonna make it past my teens and i just didnt care anymore #i intentionally drew her in clothes designed to either hide or really show her figure because i was obsessed with that as a kid #obsessed with the pain that comes with never feeling small enough. of staring intently at other peoples bodies and your own #the voice that comes up like bile and tells you that you could always fix everything with a simple decision #that it would make life easier again. make you feel better once you got past the hunger pangs. that you already know the tricks #and then i say back away devil. usually. its really hard #sometimes i look for excuses so i can say i dont really have a problem. its pretty easy since im not a textbook case #oh yeah symbolism . teeter totter with scales (weight) filled with blood above her head (carrie prom ref)#the gym climbing rope + becoming a braid at the top. unrealistic expectations of femininity and beauty as pain #the middle one conflating angelic imagery with the waifish small frame that I idolize #along with bruises and cuts and blood for the reality of living with chronic malnutrition and the health effects #open back dresses and crop tops and off the shoulder looks . I've always dressed modestly to show less of my body #can't even tell if it's out of preference or fear because I've never had the body type that I'd feel comfortable dressing like that in #oh yeah 'this is my favourite bone' is because my wrists have always looked so narrow compared to my hand #I look at that bone all the time
