Too many Devlyns
Very proud to say I’ve been working with the studio behind Inkblood which was announced today at the PC Gaming Show.
You know I love deduction games, and if you do too then we are in for a FEAST.
You're an Inquisitor following a trail of death. A cult is at work, your predecessor has vanished, and the region teeters on the edge of chaos. Find the truth. Uphold the Inquisition. Do not fail.
Check out the trailer and wishlist the game on Steam.

played the open playtest for INKBLOOD (dev. hey bird!)
you are an inquisitor investigating a string of deaths in the wake of your predecessor's death. you go around in the wagon and use a sort of magnifier glass to look into past events in each location so you can glean what happened. for each scenario the game tasks you with identifying the culprit and showing photographic evidence of relevant locations/people. in a way, this reminded me a lot of return of the obra dinn. right now, there's only two scenarios which i found really cool! i liked using a combination of wear, location, clues from items, clues from the body, etc. to make deductions, although what's in the game currently is really simple. i really suggest people who enjoy deduction games to give this a spin. the atmosphere is very unique and lovely, too.
Somehow got my copy of TCOR early a few days ago. Don’t know what to do with myself.
Random Headcanons (Ink-Triology)
- the Black Jackets appear all gangsta and evil book burning badasses in public, but they still gather around the tables in the Red Church every morning like school boys to eat their cereal and I think it's hilarious (everything about them is darkly hilarious, lol)
- in the first time in the village, many of the Black Jackets were sleeping in the church, on some old mattresses they found in the abandoned houses or something, and they also didn't have the two long tables we read about in the book, but a colorful mix of chairs, banks, coffee tables, beer benches and whatnot, they also had an old record player and whatnot... it was very, very chaotic, but also a lot of fun, but eventually, Capricorn was fed up with the trash and the chaos, threw everyone out and installed the situation we are presented with in Inkheart
- y'know that scene in Inkblood, where Resa mentions that evil smile of the Piper, which he always used to show when an execution was coming up in Capricorn's fortress? Well, he uses the same smile when he managed to successfully seduce somebody
- contrary to popular belief, I think that Basta is actually in quite good terms with some of the new recruits; I mean, being respected and admired is very important to him, and he enjoys it that he knows so much more than them and that they listen to him and don't make fun of him like that idiot Cockerell; and also, I've mentioned earIier that he secretly wishes to have a son - and when he's interacting with these kids, he sometimes imagines he does (not that he would ever tell anybody, of course)
- Flatnose is actually such a funny character, I mean, he seems to be kinda the only one who willing to constantly put up with Cockerell's bullshit, and he's such a careless, uncomplicated guy in general, I mean, he even tried to have some friendly smalltalk with Meggie - despite being involved in her kidnapping
- also, he's superstitious too, not more superstitious than Basta (is that even possible), but superstitious enough for Cockerell to make fun of him
Uh, here are some more headcanons... It's kinda messy, but I couldn't get them out of my head or write enough for one single person.
If you have any additions, opinions etc, pls tell me, I'm desperate for Inkheart and bored :3

I started listening to the Inkblood audiobook again and Farid just said that Orpheus is in his early/mid-twenties??? I feel like I've been lied to because I always thought of him being like thirty to forty??? Bitch is my age???
