So I’m nearing the end of Inkdeath right now…and it’s very clear Orpheus has some kind of twisted obsession with Dustfinger, yeah? He acts like a spurned, wounded lover. Yes it’s his life-long yearning for the Inkworld, but it seems to be blended with something more…
From Chapter 66:
“Oh yes, the sight of Dustfinger would have made him very happy back then. But now his heart beat faster for other reasons. The hate he felt still tasted like love, but that didn’t tame it.”
“Orpheus had to admit it - the Fire-Dancer was still his favorite character. Whatever Dustfinger did to him, however often he betrayed him, it didn’t change that. His heart loved him like a dog.”
“Why did the look in his eyes make Orpheus feel such shame? Why did his heart still feel love?”
I mean COME ON
were sex scenes in fenoglio's inkheart? did mo have to make eye contact with capricorn knowing he comes fast?
the cuties
Cosimo (the second one):
Fellas, is it gay to give your best friend a ring, which if he twists it and whispers your name, his fire will appear with its only goal to protect you?
Somehow got my copy of TCOR early a few days ago. Don’t know what to do with myself.
So I'm re-reading all of the inkworld books for the first time as an adult

Bringing this back
I started listening to the Inkblood audiobook again and Farid just said that Orpheus is in his early/mid-twenties??? I feel like I've been lied to because I always thought of him being like thirty to forty??? Bitch is my age???
I can’t stop thinking about how Dustfinger/Roxane and Mo/Resa’s marriages survived all…. THAT
TO THIS DAY
when ur wife and daughter wanna know where you’ve been for the last 10 years but you know they wont believe that the real story is that the world is a book starring you and you were read out of it by a man with a magic voice
