I’ve always thought tattoos were beautiful but I, like most people, were afraid of the pain. I have respect for those who work in that industry and who proudly sport their art on their body—those who dedicate their own personal appearance for their art makes me jealous that I can never be that committed to my work.  Yixing never really wanted a tattoo. He was pretty sure the company wouldn't allow it in any case, because it was pretty obvious where they stood with the allowances to their personal life, and the fact that getting your skin inked was pretty far in that section, he gave up on every thought of it as it was pointless. 

 But then, one day, he walked onto the street in front of the dorms. Dressed in a loose tank top and some training pants, he was just off to the studio for some solo practice, feeling quite pleased with that because he knew that it also meant privacy. A privilege that seemed almost impossible lately.

 But before he could slip into the car, waiting for him in front of the building, someone bumped into him, and his eyes grazed over a tanned arm. And stayed there. The skin, although perfect, was marked with black tint that spread just underneath the surface, swirling in shapes and details much unlike anything that Yixing ever saw before, and before he knew it, he was staring in awe.
