NDIRI NDINDWA
I like to make notes of any 7 Sovereign Kingdoms of eSwati stuff (enchilo) that I remember, as some these things are important and I am happy to be a part of putting the pieces of eSwati history together, in conjunction with other 7 Sovereign Kingdoms Kazi people; ancestrally or tribally.
The Ndiri is an elongated drum that I think, is used in Deep Nguni magic Rites of Passage and ceremonies.
I am busy writing a piece about givibg birth in Kazi, the Mcholo (crocodile) problems we had and the prescriptions from the Ancestors (Siko).
But before I post that I just wanted to mention this Ndiri, a singing drum, was the Tabalaza offering (or handmade product of the Ndindwas (a surname or nkandla name) and that this proves that the Ndindwa were under Tabalaza and probably not only Inkhatha, or herders, but also titled, Nguni-owning eSwati people.
I have two Ndindwa friends - Xoliswa and Athuele - and I think they will be so happy to hear of their history and that they were known as the Ndiri Ndindwas.
They are both creatives and really beautiful people and this note is especially for you, chomma...
