hi um I was looking at your old Seussical posts and um...you drew the baby boy in a bird cage? what happened to him? Oh no is he going to be okay? He needs to be free!

First of all, I’m really glad that art is showing up, because some of it actually got flagged and Tumblr didn’t bother to tell me. Isn’t that ridiculous!?

As far as the baby bird goes, he’ll be just fine! I sort of liked to think he got into a situation similar to his father where he ended up being held captive while his parents have to search for him. Hence the comparison to Finding Nemo.

Those drawings actually turned two years old over the weekend – it’s been two years to the day since I saw the production I had been making art in anticipation for!
