Small rant on how I dislike the treatment Ajaw keeps getting (spoilers for the 5.8 AQ)

Can we please talk about the absolute Ajaw abuse that was mentioned and then brushed aside like it was nothing?? Like we already know Kinich is not the kindest to Ajaw (vise versa) but come on!!

After being close to Ineffa, aka the Eleventh Dragonlord (hehe, i can’t believe I called that), he was acting a bit off which Kinich pointed out. Ajaw, being Ajaw, brushed it off like it was nothing and later when he gets mentioned again by Citlali, we find that he was put in time out for three days and then pestered by Cacucu until he let “sovereign ruler” slip out of him.

Like hello??? Wdym he was put in time out for THREE DAYS?? For what bro? And at the end, he was trapped in a box the whole time.

I already feel awful for the lords and based on what each one had do go through, I don’t even blame them for hating on humans.

“Ajaw wants Kinich dead” ok so would I if I was constantly thrown around or poked fun at. I can’t stand seeing how people think there whole relationship is one sided with Ajaw being the only one abusing. Kinich is just as guilty.

Keep in mind, sure we don’t know how long Ajaw has been with Kinich, but he is still a sovereign ruler who was very high rank in royalty of the dragon era which heavily disliked humans. Now that we know he’s a AI, that makes it worse cause it was most likely programmed into his software to view anything that has to do with the Usurper as a threat. (They were warriors too, let’s not forget that).

If Kinich showed him an ounce of sympathy, or shown him that humans are not as bad, maybe he would behave much more differently.

I’m just saying, Kinich needs chill out for a second and not lock him away for the dumbest reasons, the whole cast tbh. Ajaw is basically a war veteran/ survivor, give him a break.

Now onto Nod Krai.

While I did not have too many issues with the place itself, after it was already hinted at in Natlan, I do think that the end was too Dottore focused and basically put all the blame on him, which I find very lazy and boring and a waste of Rerir who just got oneshotted and given this boring "what do I fight for anyway" 'redemption' arc.

So: my idea was that Columbina was actually a corrupted failed goddess of the failed fourth moon (aka Nod Krai) hence her red/black coloring, who was worshiped like a false idol and eventually ended up with the Fatui and Dottore.

She and Dottore developed this unhealthy sibling dynamic, because Dottore sees her as the only other person on the planet that is like him, as they are both so alienated from other humans and thus unsettle everyone else whenever they were together, until one day she got this pull back to Nod Krai or Dottore went there and shared his findings about the Kuuvaki that could help her stabilize her form again, or this unsual fluctuation that he observed.

So, they went to Nod Krai together to investigate, thus kicking off the actual storyline.

Trusting her to know what she was doing, he let her wander off on her own to investigate what was making her feel so off balance, when she got found by the traveller and the rest of the crew and mistaken for a runaway harbinger aka "a damnsel in distress".

Seeing nothing wrong with utilizing the offered help and kindness to her advantage, she accepts and gets pulled along into the actual storyline.

Eventually they find out that Rerir had slowly been corrupting the land and siphoned away the kuuvaki that kept her stable, after his body had been shattered here a long time ago. They do the whole fighting thing and eventually manage to trap/ subdue him with the moon marrows but by doing so Columbina looses the last of her corporeal form and fades away to be trapped as a ghost on the frost moon (or something similar).

Of course, Dottore finds out about this and, despereate to get her back, takes the moon marrows to gain enough power to create what the dragons failed to do.

Now being as close as one can be to a gor, he tries to forge a new moon out of Nod Krai to anchor Columbina to it. Partially he succeeds, but also sets Rerir free again, who merged with the "revived" Columbina into this eldritch abomination, forcing the Traveller and gang to fight it until it dies and Nod Krai gets restored.

Now, I have not thought about the aftermath, but do play around with the idea that Dottores actions have garnered some attention from the four shades, leading to him being practically kidnapped, or that he sustains a fakeout death after losing the moon marrow powers, leaving room for future confrontations.

I just realized that the abbreviation for Irontomb is IT which in case you don’t understand tech terms, IT stands for information(al) technology. I find that quite fascinating as not only Irontomb supposed to destroy the erudition but also stores all the information of Amphoreus.

Ok but so much has been left unanswered regarding the dragons and the land in general. Like the pyro ascension gem thing, it’s still censored. I think I can make an educated guess though on it being the Scarlet Eyed Youth despite originally thinking it might be Xbalanque. If the SEY erased his name from everything, then his name being redacted there would make more sense. Oh, another thing, Mavuika still has her gnosis and said some other harbinger will be sent over to collect it from her, which I’m thinking is Pantalone from the mention of Citlali’s sq.

Nation of War? More like the Nation of Unanswered Questions. Someone make a list of all the “?”

Ok so im breaking my hiatus for this rant because I just can’t take it anymore.

I’m so tired of genshin to the point that lore can’t even get me interested in it again. This patch is ending in 4 days and you would think, from the limited amount of free primos, I would have been able to get a five star. I’m not even at pity.

This is absurd. The FACT that I LOST my 50/50 from SAVED PRIMOS FROM THE PATCH BEFORE and I STILL haven’t reached pity even… my mind can’t even form coherent sentences to explain my rage and disbelief.

Seeing the primo count for next patch being again, NOT ENOUGH to reach pity might make me quit again for another 2-3 years. Releasing, not one but TWO limited characters back to back AND the top meta for pyro as well is beyond sickening and frankly making this game feel like a honest chore.

It made me lose my love for this game again, and if I ever come out of hiatus then I would no longer be posting much about genshin or Hoyo games for that matter. Yes, as much as it pains me to say it, I love Honkai star rail lore and story so deeply but the game play is horrible for me and my dislike for genshin has been effecting every other thing with hoyo’s trademark on it.

Oh look Nichole’s trailer dropped! She mentioned Phanes at the end. If this was me a year ago, I would have been over the moon but now I’m just so drained of everything in this game that I couldn’t care less. Hell, if I was completing Natlan exploration like crazy in 5.5, finishing the world quest in a day, then y’all be surprised to find how I haven’t even finished 6.5 despite liking the characters (like Dex).

..idk man, if yall followed me for genshin only then I’m sorry to inform yall that I might genuinely be done. I can’t find it in me anymore, I really can’t. I might switch to my other interests like bringing over my SCP blog in here, posting about Witch Hat atelier, Pokemon even, but just not Genshin or Hoyo.

Take this rant as a maybe coming out of Hiatus but switching a lot of what I made this account for. I won’t turn down discussions or asks about genshin/star rail but I won’t be posting anything about it on my own free time. Hope everyone can understand.

Edit: I would like for people to know that I still love the genshin lore and will be following it still, just not by playing the game. I prefer to just read discussions, explanations, and theories rather than personal play the game. So to my lore ranting moots, I will still be reading every post yall cook.

As we all know, Genshin is not very good at storytelling, especially with the decisions they've made in the recent Archon quests. Thus, there are many parts where I think it could've been done better. Besides the fact that the game would be better if it was not a Gacha and had no censor -> allowing for more creativity in both character design and the underlying horrors that I so love.

But this post is not about design, but my ideas for story improvements! Specifically for Natlan and Nod Krai (Which I will cover in the next post. I also have not played past the official end of Nod Krai so if anything has changed I'll only know in August).

Natlan itself has many issues. The racism, the holiday resort vibe, the rather uninteresting "dragons", their much too perfect Archon, the wasted Capitano potential, the modern tech which doesn't fit at all with the rest of the game, the boring "friendship is magic" storyline, the tbh rather empty world, etc etc etc. I am not the first to complain XD.

So how could this have been fixed, aside from the glaringly obvious skintone issue and representation?

In terms of world building, Natlan is much too modern or at least too real world like, which could've been salvaged very easily by taking or replicating the ancient dragon tech and making it possible for everyone to use -> which would've also fixed why no one but the playable characters has more advanced tech. After all, times of war give way to swift technological advancement.

Another reason why this new tech was not as spread out as it should be, could've been explained by the typical "a young genius figured it out recently" -> paving the way for a new character to be introduced.

Now for the first Arc in the story, it could've been a great way to introduce Mavuika as this candidate for Archonhood, who either wins the tournament and gets chosen, or was only recently chosen by the time the Traveller arrives in Natlan. Now between the different tribes reigns tension, because each one thinks their candidate would've been a worthier Archon (highlighting natural conflict between people) and they doubt that Mavuika was the right fit, especially due to her secrecy after she gains the previous Archons memories and does not yet know how to pull off her plan.

This could've paved the way to help her gather allies by traveling to each tribe and getting to each their champion, solving some problem there and subsequently proving to said tribe that she was the right fit. The rest of the story could've gone on somewhat the same, only without the random premature festivities that very much distracted from the actual finale that was much too short.

And as a final piece to the end fight, we could've had Mavuika hesitate in the face of death and in a show of human selfishness proposed Traveller to be sacrificed even if it does end with Capitano taking their place as much as I dislike that descision and giving us our first lukewarm Archon relationship. And also, speaking of Capitano, it would've been great to have some actual lead up to that final decision by perhaps having him talk about how tired he was of living or how he yearns for silence at last.

Another aspect that should've been more prevalent was the post abyss invasion destruction that was nowhere to be seen, where the Traveller could've helped clean up or clean out abyssal residue or something else that could've been used to dive more into the lore until they reach Ochkanatlan — (my fav region btw).

Now that place was, for me personally amazing, if a bit too empty — but the lead up to it could've been better by a simple change. After the abyssal war (massacre/ invasion) Traveller arrives at the Flower-Feather tribe (don't remember the name) and sees how a large majority of the land is covered by ash (instead of those three tiny areas).

Now that tribe is too busy with recovering from the abyss to take care of their usual duty of keeping the ash at bay, they ask the Traveller to go and investigate, which in the end, could've been solved by shutting down the ancient furnaces or something and stop the ash for good.

And the last tid bit that could've been better were the "dragons", which could've been solved by simply giving them proper dragon adult forms and a larger, more corrupt version for the bossfights/ the flame mark situation.

Alright, who’s ready for another theory.

Today’s subject is:

Who is the Voyager

I originally planned to post this after 5.7 but the thought of this entire theory getting debunked kinda scared me… so the sooner the better (plus I have not posted in a hot minute minus some reblogs)

So, my claim on who the voyager is, is none other than the a missing aeon, Akivili the Trailblaze. No I have not lost the plot, in fact this is so genius that I began to fear myself.

Let’s start with Teyvat, our dear beloved land in which all of the beloved people of the past, present, and future live on. During the wars between the dragons and heavens, Phanes created the false sky to hide teyvat away from extraterrestrial beings out of love for humans. Many describe it as a cage or prison.

Thus Isolating Teyvat. You want to know what else is Isolated? Pegana, the home world of the Aeon, Akivili.

The Tree of Existance, a tree which birthed all of the universes planets, also reminds me of another important tree that contains all of Teyvat’s history via leylines. I could draw a line and claim that the Irminsul is a “branch” of the Imaginary Tree. Though I’m not too well versed in either topic so if anyone is interested to adopt it, take it away.

Back to why the Voyager is Akivili…

Akivili isn’t necessarily dead, they are just missing and another fellow aeon, Nous, may seem to know what happened though THEY have kept THEIR mouth shut about the whole situation. We all Know how the Voyager isn’t from teyvat, and had drifted through the cosmos for some time know before being awakened by our favorite dragon King Nibelung. She traveled all across the cosmos finding people and civilizations that were bond to fall, and could not warn them. She tried to warn Nibelung but failed thus when she returned to teyvat, she was confused as to why the dragon king was missing and his people were (mostly) gone. (Let’s all collectively boo at Phanes).

Both Akivili and the Voyager have great ties with traveling through countless galaxies. Much like the Voyager has ties with fate, the aeon has ties with Destiny. If I’m not wrong, those are fairly close concepts to each other further proving my point that they may be the same being. The Star Rail’s purpose was to connect distant galaxies together, establishing connection through those galaxies. I am unsure if Akivili THEMSELVES could directly communicate with said galaxies but I fear I’m entitled to question why create this whole express if they, a Aeon, could not just communicate with the galaxies THEMSELVES.

“Ink your being crazy, they probably are not connected” Ok fine, if they aren’t connected then at least I can confidently say that Akivili is tied to teyvat. Look at THEIR page.

Two points I can make here.

One: the Unknowable, if this is not a reference to Forbidden Knowledge, then I don’t know what is. (This one is more or less connecting Akivili to Teyvat rather than the voyager, but still note worthy)

Two: “Countless Shooting stars streak across the night sky, if your pick the right one, it will carry you wish to thousand of distant worlds.” I got sent instantly to that one dialogue sentence in Yoimiya’s second story quest of how when you wish upon a shooting star, it summons the meteors. This could also be taken as, when you wish upon something, they are bound to come true. We also know the connection between the Twins of Teyvat and shooting stars. Im just saying.

Anyway this is my theory before everything gets debunked in 5.7 or maybe (hopefully) hoyo won’t pray on my downfall and instead make me a theory genius, either way I’m throwing this out while I can. Before I bid you farewell and say thank you for reading this mess, i would like to add…All Hoyo games are connected, it’s a hoyoVERSE for a reason, and I’ve been doing everything to connect them. Akivili may be that connection I’ve been (heh) wishing for.

But hey, it’s just a theory, a HOYO THEORY…. Not funny? Im sorry.
