          If words held weight, his were a ton of bricks. For a moment, it didn’t register that she was being crushed by them; slowly. Torturously. Her mind couldn’t wrap around him saying that to her, ever. Fingers twist the fabric of her shirt, eyes staring at the ground between them. How was it so easy for him to say that to her? 

❝ So... is that all I was to you? A tool? ❞ Emma hated the sudden ache in her chest, a heaviness that sat on her shoulders. Cheeks burned in anger. After all they’ve been through together, he sat there with his indifference. She thought... no, she trusted him. That was her first mistake. 

❝ I really shouldn’t be surprised. ❞ After all, a leopard couldn’t change it’s spots. Why did she think he could? Emma turned to walk away only to veer back, hand raised to slap him. Energy pulsed through her, sparking like a live wire. The bulbs in the lights buzzed and brightened, flickering in response. She didn’t notice. No, she was too focused on him. 

          Slowly, she lowered her open hand to her side, balling her fingers into fists that bit at the inside of her palm.  ❝ You’re not worth it.... ❞

     She looks a statue, and becomes just as still as one. Yes, Cersei Lannister is undeniably beautiful with the golden curls cascading down her back. It’s a stark contrast to what once was. She looks no older than the day she said her goodbyes, but should you look inside– you’d find her insides covered in thick black tar. Covered by all of that was ambition that still burned at her gut– she would be remembered, her father would be remembered but she would be the one they’d refer to as the Lioness of Lannister.

     But now her past was standing before her, separated only by a few steps. She couldn’t act a coward, not when she knew how sharp his tongue could be. (And oh, she knew his tongue.)

Gaze flickers over the lass before him briefly, palm of one hand held up over his shoulder to quell any lingering instincts of violence that flitters through the men of his crew gathered behind him. One brow quirks as the pirate takes stock of her, head cocking sideways as fingers lower to free the flask at his side. “You’re the new Wendy, are you, love?” Blue eyes flicker to the dense trees around them as he takes a sip of the drink that has damned him - the slow burn as it travels his throat to sit in his belly the only thing akin to a friend he has in this wretched misery. Tongue slides over a rough bottom lip as Hook finally turns his attention to Wendy Darling once more, mouth twitching the slightest bit. “Aye, you’re much better than the last one.”

       “All right.” Aloy exhaled, coiling up her rappelling gear and stashing it as she stood from her landing crouch. “GAIA said to find the primary access point.” It took a bit of poking around, but Aloy found a port of some kind that seemed to fit GAIA’s description. Next came the uncertain part. Aloy hefted her spear and touched the override device to the port, activating her Focus with the other hand to seek the file GAIA’d told her to upload. “Here goes nothing.” 

        The process took some time. Aloy found herself sitting idly for most of it—a lack of action being one of her least favorite things. But GAIA’d said this was important, maybe even the most important step she could take towards saving the world. If it works. Whatever it is. GAIA hadn’t been all that forthcoming. 

        Two hours later, the computer finally made a sound, a serene feminine voice soon to follow. “Memory upload complete.” Aloy jumped to her feet, stepping closer to the console. “Initiating animation protocol. Please stand by.” Something behind her beeped loudly and Aloy whirled to see the large cylindrical object light up. The glass was dirty and smudged with thousand year old grime, but there seemed to be...a person inside? 

        This was a cradle facility. That thing must have been a cradle. Whatever it was, it gave a great hissing sound as the locking mechanism released and its front half swung up on a hinge, opening to let the person inside stumble out onto their knees. 

       “Hey—” Aloy was quick to pull her old blanket out of her pack and drape it around the nude figure’s shoulder’s. She had no idea what was going on, but she knew they must be cold. “Are you...all right?” She’d yet to get a clear look at their face.

             It’s not that Mako and Bolin aren’t enough but they’re also busy and Asami can’t help but feel lonely, has felt a hole in her heart ever since Korra left. She doesn’t know what’s going on, was sure she wasn’t gonna feel this empty without Korra but she was also sure she was only gonna be away for a couple of weeks and suddenly the weeks have turned to months and no matter how many letters she sends she can’t seem to get a reply from the other.

             She makes herself smile crossing paths with Lin but something stops her, makes her turn around before the chief of police is out of her sight.  ❝ Hey! ❞  And for a moment she doesn’t really know what to say, it’s not like her Chief Beifong were ever close, all just very circunstancial.  ❝ I was just wondering if you’d heard anything from Korra. I guess no news is good news but… ❞  Asami swipes a piece of hair behind her ear.  ❝ I’m getting a bit worried. I know it’s silly and she needs her time and she’s with her parents but… Guess I can’t help myself. ❞

Gold has Belle back. The town seems chaotic now that the curse is broken, a curse Emma didn’t believe in for the longest time. Now that she does, there’s questions left unanswered. Henry’s alive and okay, people are remembering and she realizes all the truths of the story book are lives lost. She knows Gold’s past, reading those stories to Henry by his request, memorizing the pages she didn’t think held any ground. She knows what people have done, what they could have done. 

Now, she stands in the streets as people reconnect with those they’ve been kept from. She doesn’t know whether to find him, if with the curse breaking, Belle would remember her love... Her true love... 

Emma finds herself in the graveyard, standing before Graham’s grave. The curse is broken, come back... He shouldn’t have been able to die. They were trapped in a loop... not aging, not dying. Why then, is he not here? 

She falls to her knees, a sharp pain in her chest. Reliving his death all over again, tears begin to fall. Gasping for air, fingers digging into the dirt, twisting up the grass, shaking. “ N-No.. No no no no-o-o... ” she sobs. 

She can’t hear anyone approaching over her own agony.

     She taps her fingernails against the countertop, a competition for the barkeep’s attention began. In the den of sin where music pumped through the patrons’ veins it could prove a tall order. Those served before her leave with drinks cupped in the palms of their hands, each louder than the one before. But she is thirsty for something else. And when she finally makes eye contact the woman’s eyes are menacing– perfectly void of emotion, a disinterest she found most intriguing. The heiress leans in closer, brow arching as she airs her question.
