Xehanort’s favorite form of communication, other than speaking, is letter writing. To manipulate another with ease, one must shed as many confounding variables as one can. It is for this reason, writing is an easier task than speaking. Body language that might normally betray ones true motives, are absent on the parchment of written word. Shaping and twisting one’s sentences to create a false image of oneself becomes a much simpler art. Tone’s can so easily be creased in implied stops and emphasized words and phrases.
Although, it would be a lie to say Xehanort did not wring a strange exhilaration from manipulating another person in the flesh.
Given the ability, the elder would practically jump at the opportunity to shape shift into a dragon, specifically a Wyvern. The protruding, yawning reach of their scaled wings, tails tipped with a spiked mace, and virulent burning fire that froths from the dragon’s mouth (or other elements) certainly give’s the impression of great power. That physical form combined with the wit and intelligence of Xehanort’s physical- and still somewhat human- being would prove to be an advantageous tool in asserting his goals.
