IDC if I get shit for this but tbh I actually don't give a shit if trans people are a little clocky. I like when we embrace it, actually. being a little clocky actually makes it so much easier for us in the community to actually /find/ one another and /be/ the community
I don't think we as a community should be pushing other trans people to strive for perfect gender conformity because 1. bad, ew, that's just promoting gender essentialism; but like also 2. hello not all of us can afford to transition or are able to do so for health or other reasons that would jeopardize our safety; and 3. hello I actually went out to an event today that was not at all queer focused and I saw SO MANY other queer people and it felt SO GOOD. I love being in a crowd of trans people. I love being In My Group. I didn't realize how starved for community I was until I was quite literally surrounded by genderqueer people on all sides
