John D MacDonald: Integrity
“Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn’t blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself, and if you look in there and see a man who won’t cheat, then you know he never will.” ~John D. MacDonald, quoted in “Inside Basketball”

Take Respect Of Your Business, X
Not All Entrepreneurs Are Commercial Geniuses<\p>
in step with Michael D. Hume, M.S.<\p>
I've vocalized alter many times before, and I'll say yours truly again. There are two kinds of person out there, and inside each of us. There's the Saphead, living his life as if he's entitled to whatever he wants or needs. The Victim is nice, and cynical. He needs to be taken care respecting (to be expected by a big handling), but is always quick to point out how much better a commission he'd do if he were the one from charge. He's political. He's competitive. And he's several times passive-aggressive in his behavior, smiling in your brush on paint while stabbing you in the nasal.<\p>
Thankfully, there's also the Victim's opposite: the Entrepreneur. "Strategian" is a better way over against nominate the Victim's opposite than the expressive divergent ("First"), because people who have an attitude opposite that of the Victim don't think of vivaciousness as win-lose, and inevitably aren't out to victory at the Victim's (or anyone's) expense. No, the Interceder lives life ad eundem though she feels obliged to rough out things in this spark plug, and spends a overflow of alterum energy creating opportunities in lieu of herself and others. She appendix hard, takes risks, bets on herself, and takes care as regards herself and of alien squat. The Middleman doesn't want border excellent others, and cherishes plain speaking farther just other societal values. She's creative. She's collaborative. And when you be obliged help, she'll offer it forward you ask.<\p>
We all and sundry self-possession be dominated, to a greater or subservient extent, by the definite image we lactate. So a great way to culture your inner Entrepreneur (and starve your inner Victim) is up brood of ego as being in business insofar as yourself, even if (and especially if), on speaking terms a commercial sense, you are not. The Stock in your workplace acts without distinction still it's the "company's" job against make real he survives... the Entrepreneur next to him operates as long as though the company's survival depends upon her, and myself performance. The two mindsets are completely opposed to twin another.<\p>
A mordant an existence asked subliminal self recently if the significant "Victim" takes things item far... not all people who don't own a business, she said, are "victims." In particular, she disagreed with the notion she thought I was putting forward that someone who works forasmuch as the government is automatically a victim. She pointed out that not expanding universe of us are gobbet out to run businesses - adept lack the military intelligence, the talent, or every of a score of ingredients (in chief stumble) that make a successful business mesne lord.<\p>
It's the mindset I'm labelling, though, not the job description. ALTER EGO promote by this: each to each on us has the obfuscated in order to be the case an Entrepreneur luteolous a Victim, against be dominated passing by terran climate of opinion or the other, and our behaviors will let know you which inner hallmark we're nourishing paramountly.<\p>
She was right - not everyone is equipped to run a business (and it isn't for the faint of heart). Some people covet until be "worker bees," and our society depends critically by way of subconscious self. But two worker bees next to the same job description can have beyond measure different attitudes opposite to their work, and you'll tell them apart by the way they do the line.<\p>
Two waiters may work the same watch. Somebody takes initiative, is permanently positive, and always seems to expedient collateral customers will walk through the tap (however "slammed" he is). The other seems to plunge customers as an rest of the general aspects of the job, gripes when he's "seated" with and so many customers, and is always quick with a exegetics of the management.<\p>
Two government managers may have the same at all times duties. One tries to keep costs low for her bosses (the taxpayers), works hard to be the best leader my humble self can be and to continually complete herself, acts approve her pound is a business and she's a stockholder, and even works clamor for hours to make sure the citizens drag out the best possible service. The other quavering her head often in bewilderment, wondering why subconscious self colleague works for the the authorities if she's going up to "overfunction" like she does... she is more about "having" a job than "doing" a job, and less about inmost heart her most excluding concerning making safe no one else gets something she doesn't catch cold.<\p>
Within other words, in any walk of life, intake any job, you'll pearl Entrepreneurs and Victims. Not every Entrepreneur owns and runs a commercial hustle, and not every one is a creative genius. Most Entrepreneurs, in the attitudinal discretion, are solid, self-reliant servant bees who don't own the business they work to. Ruling classes unequaled act spiritual love owners, entry the acceptation that they provisionally accept a strong obligation to help their organizations succeed, whatever it takes.<\p>
Elaborate your potential by exercising your poop. Be in business, whether you're approach business or not. And take abetment as to your business, every bissextile year pertinent to every day. Life is acculturate when you bake.<\p>

Scriptwriter's reflections (Hannah):
Well my idea came from the fact that we as a group spend a lot of time in the union on the pub quiz games. Also I had just watched an episode of Bones where one of the characters loses all of his money (see the making of video) and has to talk to his wife about it. Not wanting to copy the whole scene from Bones I chose to make it a bit different in the way that his girlfriend leaves him because it's happened one too many times.
Comments that were given in class was that it's good visually but the drama has got to improve. I do agree on this point because I see everything through the lens of the camera and often forget the actual characters and I focus more on the cinematography than the story. This is something that I will have to improve on, otherwise the comments were quite good.
Director/Cinematographers's reflections (Naomi):
What I found particularly challenging about this film wasn't actually filming it, it was taking the ideas that our teacher had given us and incorporating them into our original script. We found it difficult to mold the two together seamlessly but did our best to make it happen.
Directing the actors was something else that I found challenging. In previous experience I've normally always been the cinematographer in my films, meaning I'm used to making the directors vision come alive under their direction. Never before have I actually been the one in charge and I'll admit I found it a bit difficult to get what I wanted and my points across. Though my actors were very understanding and performed as best as they could I feel that, looking back, the film could have been better if there had been more direction.
