In 1986 two musicians Susan Mazer & Dallas Smith from the Northern California area released an outstanding Private Issue New Age album. The duo’s record was called ‘Inner Rhythms’ and it featured elegant electronic Synths, Lyricon Wind Synthesizer, Bansuri (bamboo flute) and Electro-acoustic pedal harp. The LP was released on San Rafael, CA record label Music West Records.
A very warm electro-acoustic and compelling record, ‘Inner Rhythms’ features instrumental easy-listening Electronic New Age without being cheesy or formulaic. The music is soft, melodic and very soothing.
The artwork for Susan Mazer & Dallas Smith’s ‘Inner Rhythms” record jacket is very simple dew dripping off of some red leaves with a dark burgundy frame surrounding the picture.
This album is highly recommended for fans of quality Electronic New Age like: IASOS, Aeoliah, Kitaro and the Light In The Attic compilation ‘I Am The Center’.
