18. For Kaz
18. Are they ever a pushover about something? If so, how?
Not generally. I’d say he’s made some concessions to Lin, but those things don’t necessarily qualify. Outside of that he isn’t really one to be pushed over.

Lin Kaz Tenzin Su Toph Bolin
Push off a cliff: Tenzin. Sorry, I’ve been thinking about book 4 since that last ask. He’ll survive anyway.
Kiss: Kazuo, he knows what he’s doing.
Marry: Ok. Who am I kidding? I wanna marry Lin. She may be against it, but since when has Lin ever gotten anything she wanted?
Set on Fire: Bolin. Sorry bud.
Wrap a Blanket around: Suyin, but like really really tightly. Like swaddled into a human burrito while she was asleep and then laugh hella hard when she wakes up and has to urgently pee but can’t get out of the blanket.
Be Roommates with: Toph is ideal. She’s super chill and funny, would probably never be around, and would make me feel like the clean one.
Break In
Here’s a Linzuo fic!
Lin rolled over as a small, yet foreign noise crept through her dreaming conscious. She opened her eyes and glanced at the left side of the bed where Kazuo usually slept. He was still there, snoring and sprawled across the mattress, his chest rising and falling as he breathed deeply. She sat up and carefully placed her bare foot on the floor, closing her eyes in concentration. There were three heartbeats including her own. There should only be two. She scowled. ‘What idiot has the balls to break into MY apartment…' She placed her hand over Kazuo’s mouth and shook him, knowing that he would make unnecessary noise if she didn’t keep his mouth shut. He shifted and grunted in disdain and confusion as he woke to find it very difficult to ask why he was being woken up so early. Lin held a finger to her lips.
“Shush! There’s someone in the house. I’m going to check it out, and you’re going to stay here and call the police if I need back up.” She muttered in a very low voice, just under her breath. “Back up? Of course you should call for backu-” “Kaz! Shush!” She clamped her hand over his mouth again. “You’re going to scare him off and I want to catch him.” She growled. Kazuo’s brow furrowed. “There’s a robber in our apartment and you don’t want back up? Come on Lin….” She didn’t respond and she got out of bed to pull on her sweat pants to go with her white wife beater. She quietly opened their bedroom door. “Just do as I say, Kaz. I do this every day. It is my damn job, you know.” She hissed. He opened his mouth to reply, only to watch her pad very quietly towards the living room as she ignored him. He bit his lip in worry and then got up, grabbing his small paddle from his rowing days off the wall above his dresser. He followed her (as quietly as he could muster with his large clumsy figure). He gripped his oar paddle so tightly his knuckles turned white. He was clad in only his Fire Nation red boxers, complete with golden fire insignia designs dotted across the soft fabric. He heard a loud noise around the corner from the living room as Lin pounced on the crook. He peeked around the corner to see that she had wrapped an arm around the masked man’s throat, pulling him into a choke. The robber struggled, and pushed back, forcing Lin into a wall. She grunted and ducked as the thief grappled loose from her grip and threw a punch at her. Lin quickly got into stance and pulled the tiles from the floor around the robber’s feet, trapping him to the floor of her apartment. She growled in frustration as he easily broke free and shot a few tiles at her with some earthbending of his own. She ducked and rolled, the tiles missing their target and lodging themselves in the wall behind her. Kazuo’s eyes narrowed as he watched them spar, his living room quickly falling into shambles as the two earthbenders tore it apart. He frowned and carefully approached the two fighters, shakily holding up his oar before aiming a hard blow toward the robber. He missed and over shot, instead landing a hit right across Lin’s nose, causing her to curse very loudly and stumble. “What the hell Kaz??!!” He winced and backed away from the robber as his presence became known. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t aiming for you!” He grunted swinging again at the masked figure. Lin dodged the oar this time, as did the criminal. She jumped in front of him and deflected part of the marble coffee table that was aimed at the non bender. “You’re not making this any easier, Kaz! Just let me handle it!” She scolded, wiping her now bloody nose. He flinched behind her. “Alrlight! I’ll stay out of your way….” He pouted, watching as Lin threw the marble right back at the masked man at break neck speed, only for him to dodge it narrowly, the slab of marble smashing into the sliding doors of the balcony. Lin growled and pulled several metal strips off of some nearby picture frames and she sent them all towards the robber, clamping the strips around his feet and hands, and then his eyes just for good measure. The other earthbender grunted and fell over, defeated. Lin smirked in triumph, and placed her hands on her hips. She heard police sirens off in the distance getting closer. She looked at Kaz. “Did you call them?” She asked, pursing her lips. He shook his head and stood up straight. “No, you told me not to!” He chuckled, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes defensively. Lin smirked and rolled her eyes. “The neighbors probably heard the racket . Mom, Su and I used to have the cops called on us all the time when we were kids. The neighbors thought we were killing each other half the time. Which was accurate on their part.” She said, shrugging and walking over to the robber. She picked him up by the collar and carried him towards the front door. Kaz grabbed a tissue and he stopped her before she stepped out the door. He wiped her bloody nose gently. “I’m sorry about missing, Lin.” He chuckled softly. She rolled her eyes. “Apology accepted. As long as you never try to help again if another one of these imbeciles breaks in. Or spirits so help me I will handcuff you to the bed.” She said, prodding his chest with her pointer finger to accentuate her last words. Kaz laughed and he grinned slyly down at her. “Handcuffs, hmmmm? That could be fun.” Below him the robber gagged. Lin turned very red and scoffed. “Just stay out of my way!” She said, feeling very flustered and clenching her fists. Kaz laughed and then leaned down, giving her a kiss. Lin sighed and relaxed a bit. “You big dumb brute.” She smiled softly, returning his kiss. She pulled back as her officers came shuffling down the hallway and she opened the door. “Take this one in for booking and charges for assault and breaking and entering.” She ordered, handing the criminal over to the officers. They saluted after inspecting her apartment and wished her a good night. Lin sighed and leaned against the door as she closed it, looking back at Kaz and the destroyed state of the living room. “Come on, let’s go to bed.” She said, standing up straight and walking towards the bedroom. Kaz chuckled. “So you can handcuff me?” He joked.
“Kaz!” She scoffed, her cheeks burning bright red. He laughed and placed his arm around her shoulders. “I’m tired too.” He said, leading her into bed after putting his oar back on the wall and falling asleep as she wrapped her arms around him.
Ahhh! Look at this lovely little Linzuo fic that innerinternet wrote! I love it!!
Do Lin and Kaz ever go camping?
Nope!
Not unless there were some unusual circumstance like in Operation Beifong.
While I think Lin probably enjoys ‘roughing’ it from time to time, Kaz doesn’t see the point. He would consider camping the kind of “weird shit rich people do.”
As someone who grew up pretty poor and had at least one year in which his living situation was basically camping, he doesn’t get the appeal. Why would anyone elect to live that way when they don’t have to?
Judging by your tumblr, you seem like a pretty cool angry gay nerd.
Oh no
You get me
I think it would be a cute fic, like Kuvira would be so worried and baby him but then Su would be like where's your special tea, get over it.
Su is like do you know how many asthma attacks I’ve given him over the years? He’ll be fine.
And poor Kuvira is like ‘Su he couldn’t BREATH! We have to be CAREFUL!’ and she treats Baatar like glass for a while after that until he finally, nicely, asks her to just treat him normally
I think the Mafia AU would make a great movie. I love how there are outside characters in this one.
It would be an awesome movie bc then we’d get to actually see sexual tension between Kuvira and Su lol
Yes, cuties on the beach. I like how you wrote about the name calling, and how it's established in their relationship. I think it's important. Btw what style of swim suits would they wear? Like 20's style?
Thank you! I really didn’t mean for it to go there lol butit seemed like the right course. I wanted to make sure that it was addressedthat they always communicate about what they’re doing.
I was going more with like the swimsuits they wore in atlabc I like it better lol
