Destroyed by the Storm (Chloe and Max) [Starter for innocentframed]
Did this really all just happen? Did Max really just choose to keep her alive over saving Arcadia Bay? She couldn't believe it. It didn't take long for the storm to rip it's way through the small town below the cliff from where she and Max had stood for the decision. She had watched Max tear up the butterfly photo and let it get carried away in the wind. Just over an hour had passed and the storm had finally calmed down, the sunshine now the only thing visible in the sky. No wind. No clouds. Just Sunshine. The storm had done it's damage and just fucked off. Now sitting behind the wheel of her truck, she had sat in complete silence beside the brunette that had saved her life several times over the past week. It had only been 5 minutes since she had driven past the sign alerting them to the fact that they were "now leaving Arcadia Bay" she had always wanted to get out of that town, but not like this. She didn't even know if anyone else had survived, she just knew that sticking around wasn't going to be good for any of them. She kept her hands firmly on the wheel, not even bothering to put on the radio, the silence was kind of a god send after the constant noise of rain and wind. The only thing that could be heard was the roaring of the trucks engine as she drove. She took a quick glance towards Max, just to make sure she was okay... @innocentframed
❛ So you tell me how in the holy hell did you possibly kill this truck? ❜
“I didn’t kill it. It’s not biological.” Brooke furrowed her brow. “Sorry, I guess you meant metaphorically, huh? Um, well.” She cleared her throat. “It involves no fewer than three people with automatic weapons, and at least one with an RPG. And I don’t mean Dungeons and Dragons.” She smiled sheepishly. “Sure you wanna keep asking questions?”

The laughter coming from the other girls in the cafeteria made the fair haired girl snap her head towards them and shoot a glare which left onto Victoria laughing on her own. She had a pretty good influence of the rest of the Vortex Club, it only seemed to be Victoria that was jealous of her.
Max offered her one of her shirts with made her smile a little as she watched the brunette making her way over to her locker before watching her pull out a shirt with the word “Jane” written on it with a photo of doe on it. She took hold of the shirt and gave it a quick glance over before smiling towards Max.
“You’re right, it may not be my style but thank you, I appreciate it.” She admitted with a small shrug of her shoulders. “You haven’t seen Chloe around have you? She said something about us all going for lunch?” She questioned as she began to walk towards the drama room so she could use the changing area.
Reunited (And it’s not so good)

Emerging from the Prescott Dorms, Chloe sighed. Her shoulders slumped as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her pack of smokes, lighting up with the zippo her step-dad had given her for her 18th birthday little over a year and a half beforehand; a metal casing embossed with the image of a skull.
She kicked off of the step, puffing away at the small, white stick between her lips with reckless abandon, with one hand stuffed into the pocket of her leather jacket, and the other holding her cigarette between her thumb and forefinger.
Chloe’s blue eyes narrowed and a groan left her at the sight of the various ‘extracurricular’ stalls that had been set up in the main courtyard of Blackwell Academy. God, how pretentious could this school get? Good job she didn’t plan on staying long enough to get involved in that shit, anyway.
She’d been transferred back to her hometown of Arcadia Bay after a string of school suspensions up in Seattle, with her mom thinking that the place she’d grown up in would bring the teen rebel back down to earth; straightening her act out and bringing back the happy girl she once was, when she used to play pirates and superheroes with her ex-best-friend, Max.
‘Heh, yeah. Keep telling yourself that, Joyce. No way in Hell am I getting involved with all these dirtbags, let alone Max Caulfield. Bitch fobbed me off like, a month after we moved away.’
She was too caught up in her daydreaming to really notice where she was walking, or who was in her path. After all, people usually steered clear from her at the shock of bright blue hair, coupled with the tattoo that was visible beneath a rolled-up jacket sleeve.
The word ‘usually’ was the most important part of that statement. She’d never seen so many people gathered around one place as she did around the Vortex Club’s stall, and Chloe couldn’t help but let out a brief snort of bemusement. ‘Jeez… what a load of bullsh—‘
Her thoughts were cut off as she took a step back, earning a small gasp and a loud tumble as books fell into a folded heap on the ground, out of the poor person’s arms she’d walked backwards into. Chloe immediately rounded, kneeling down without even glancing at the person, and started clearing up the mess she’d made.
“Shit, sorry, dude.” She apologized, stacking the now crumpled books into a hasty pile, and looking up at the person before her.
Chloe’s face immediately paled. Out of all people, in the entirety of the USA… She never thought she’d see her again. Not the person standing before her.
“M-Max…?”
“When I see you again”
It had been almost 1 year since Chloe had last been seen around Arcadia Bay. She had finally gotten out, hadn’t told a single person. She didn’t want to, not even her mother knew. She had hightailed it outta that hellhole as quickly as she possibly could and she was glad she had…
She had managed to get herself back on her feet, she had studied at a local tattoo studio to become a tattoo artist, she had changed her hair style yet again, a more shorter style at the back and sides of her head with a faux-hawk at the top, and of course it was still blue.
She didn’t know why, but she had been thinking about Max, none stop for the past couple of weeks and she just couldn’t get the brunette out of her mind. She groaned to herself one day as she stalked Facebook to see if she could find out where Max actually stayed now.
After finding the brunette’s address, finding out that she had settled in Arcadia Bay, Chloe groaned at the thought of having to go back to the town she had left just over a year ago, but she had to. She had to see Max…she didn’t know why but she had to.
She took some time off work, rescheduling all of her tattoo appointments with clients before she took off in her brand new truck towards Arcadia Bay. She knew the journey was going to take a while so she stocked up on food and drink for the journey.
After what felt like a whole day but was only a few hours she pulled her truck up outside a rather familiar house. Max had managed to get her parents old house back? I wonder if she’s seeing anyone? Wait why do you wonder that?
All these thoughts ran through Chloe’s mind as she got herself out of the truck and made her way up the pathway towards the door of the house. She stood at the door, her hand forming a fist as she held it up, hesitating on whether or not to knock. ‘Fucking just knock you idiot!’ She scolded herself before rapping her knuckled against the wood of the door a few times, hoping Max was home.

It was early evening in Arcadia Bay, the sun just starting to set and the waves lazily lapping up to the shore. The air was just becoming brisk, and the night was almost too quiet.
That was until Chloe Price dropped her monkey wrench on her foot as she attempted to change the flat-tyre on her 7th Gen Ford F-150. The piece of shit was always breaking down and needing new parts. So to have something so mundane as changing a tyre cause her so much trouble was frustrating.
“Piece of absolute shit! I swear, Rach, this is the last time I buy tools off of Trevor!”
The exclamation raised some funny looks from passing students, whom she deftly flipped off with a sneer. So far they’d been in the parking lot of Blackhell academy for thirty minutes as she attempted the patch-up job, which was twenty-nine minutes to many for Chloe’s liking. But they were here to meet with one of Rachel’s new friends.
She’d described her as shy, nerdy, and withdrawn; telling the blue haired girl that she just needed one epic night with people who she’d be comfortable around in order to truly open up. Somewhere in her mind, she’d immediately thought of Chloe Price, for some unknown reason.
“Rach! I’m not saying any of your friends are unreliable—but they’re unreliable.” She said tiredly, speaking up as she worked, her head down at tyre-level. “Can’t you text her to get her to move her ass just that little bit faster?”
