Misc. INOaMON doodles from who knows when (because I need to post more often)

I really liked how Mirell’s devpage came out so it got colored.  I feel his monsterform is now more nailed down to what it was previously.

Weird symbols in 2nd row 1st image are monsterpeople accessibility/amenities signage. 2nd row 3rd image is a rando manta ray inspired scalekind, possible NPC?

A Chicatrice is a domesticated Cockatrice. The Slime and Scarlet Garuda are roughly to-scale with Rais.

Aug+Sept 2017 INoaMON dev dump

No INoaMON related doodles Tiny doodle because a text-only post is sad. Scripting chugs along as I prepare to move to another state (sorta!).

The intro was completed in August and it ended up being 23k words.

Outlines for all 3 traveling paths (Air = Rais/Garett, Earth = Indigo/Markol, Water = Levan/Mirell) are done and each have about 30 scenes not counting minor variables or any scenes that might crop up as I’m writing.

I’d like to have all three paths done before or by the end of November.

In the meantime I’ve found some very neat historical tidbits that are helping make the setting meatier.  Some research into trains also filled in a previous gap in Levan’s story. (Trains now exist in the setting.)

Doodle is roughly what Grenn, Indigo and Markol’s travel setup looks like at night. Grenn has a small cart with his supplies, Indigo has one book and a rolled up blanket, Markol has his storewagon and his hellboar (Cobbs).

June+July 2017 INoaMON dev dump

Not a whole lot of art TBH as I’m doing scripting.

June was a bit of a bust and part of July got sucked up by overtime from my dayjob.

The intro is being rewritten from scratch and is currently at 11~12k words and features 15~20 choices vs the original draft’s 17k words and anemic 3 choices clustered at the end.

Top left is an incredibly rough map that shows how the different routes physically work/look.

Top right is a rough of Garett/Rais shitshack of a house.

Bottom is a doodle because... doodle.  Sorry I don’t have a more substantial update and thank you for your patience.

Milestone/Update

Finally some reportable progress!  I’ve finished writing the first draft of the Introduction (currently 15,464 words without edits)

I've started writing the Air Path which is one of the first major divergences. The Air Path consists of traveling with Rais and Garett, and encompasses their journey with Grenn to the city.

I call the sorta 2nd part [Element] Path, for reference, Indigo and Markol are the Earth Path and Levan and Mirell are the Water Path.  They will also be tackled in that order (you don’t have to play them in that order of course!)

I suspect that of the three, this one will take the longest since it will be setting the standard and length for the other two. Typical learning curve stuff.

After that will be the 3rd part of writing production which focuses on the individual paths and their respective conclusions.

(Then after THAT part are the bonus epilogue chapters which are only unlocked by getting the “good ends”.  I’m 95% certain they will be the shortest chapters since they’re pretty standalone and FOR FANSERVICE.)

I have also created a FAQ that you can check out, I think I’ve covered all the important questions.  I’ll see about finally making proper replies to the leftover (character) asks in my box, apologies for taking so long to get to them!

Yes, casually grow some more eyes on your arm because the ones on your head aren't good enough for the joke.

Mirell doesn't mean anything aggro with that, he hasn't mastered the art of not being slightly unnerving when making bad jokes with his body horror powers. (It's not even a pun!)

Sorry for the lack of activity lately guys!

Most Aveskind's flying frequency is inversely proportional to how much they mingle with non-Aves folks.  Greater Aveskind (Garett) are better able to have sustainable flight compared to Aveskind like Rais.  Why this is will likely become more apparent in the VN itself. 8>
