ANTICANCER ACTIVITY OF Pedalium murex Linn METHANOLIC LEAVES EXTRACT AGAINST A549 HUMAN LUNG CANCER CELL LINE |  Asian Journal of Advances in Research

Pedalium murex (Pedaliaceae), often known as Large Caltrops, is well-known for its pharmacological applications in traditional medicine. It is said to have good therapeutic characteristics that aid in the treatment of reproductive diseases in both men and women, including impotency, nocturnal discharges, gonorrhoea, and leucorrhoea. It also comprises a treatment for urinary and gastrointestinal tract problems. Antiulcerogenic, nephroprotective, hypolipidemic, sexual enhancer, mitigating, antidermatophytic, cancer prevention agent, antibacterial, and insecticidal activities have all been investigated pharmacologically. The current review may be a compilation of information gleaned from published research papers that focuses on the phytochemical and pharmacological features of P. murex. The high concentrations of methnolic extract will be useful in producing new formulations with therapeutic and cost-effective value in the future. A549 cells were treated with Pedalium murex leaves methanolic extract for six hours, twelve hours, twenty-four hours, and thirty-six hours, and their growth was controlled after 36 hours. PHARMACOLOGICAL AND ANTI CANCER ACTIVITY OF Ipomoea sepiaria METHANOLIC EXTRACT AGAINST PC-3 CELL LINE |  Asian Journal of Advances in Medical Science

Ipomoea sepiaria Koenig ex. Roxb. is one of a few traditional restorative plants that has been studied for its anti-obesity properties. The medicine is used in folklore for numerous beneficial features such as love elixir and arsenic poisoning, tonic, re-establishing, diuretic, laxative, uterotonic, and sterility in women, and the leaves are used in diabetes. Phytochemical screening of different Ipomoea sepiaria concentrates revealed the presence and absence of numerous phytochemicals in ethanol removal, Further tests were carried out on ethanol-separated leaves of Ipomoea sepiaria. PC3 (PC-3) is a human prostate cancer cell line that is widely used to study the biochemical alterations in prostate cancer cells. In recent years, studies on the management of PC-3 human prostate cancer cell lines have been necessary. The anticancer activity of Ipomoea sepiaria fluid concentrate was investigated using the PC-3 cell line and the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium (MTT) method. In the current study, a watery concentrate of Ipomoea sepiaria was subjected to various focuses on PC-3 cells and showed IC50 cell hindrance at about 5M for 48 hours and about 2M for 72 hours when exposed to various focuses on PC-3 cells. This examination provides significant pharmacognostic and phytochemical data for accurate unique confirmation and check of this species' leaves.

Influence of nutritional elements and fungicides on chlorophyll content in leaves of highly productive winter wheat varieties

[Open Access] [uk] The influence of nutrients and fungicides on the chlorophyll content in the leaves of winter wheat of high-yielding varieties Smuglyanka and Podolyanka was studied. There was a tendency to increase the chlorophyll content in the flag leaves of winter wheat and a statistically significant increase in its content in the leaves of the 2nd and 3rd levels under the application of compositions of triazole derivatives, strobilurin and microelements with magnesium and amino acids. Peculiarities of strengthening the chlorophyll accumulation in the leaves of different levels and the influence on the formation of crop productivity are considered.Keywords: Triticum aestivum L., inorganic elements, fungicides, Fusarium, chlorophyll, SPAD-index

The present paper was carried out in the surgery department, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Karad, on all minor cases of intestinal obstruction. The present study concluded that the age range is 18-30 years and the male sex is most prevalent for acute obstruction of the small intestine.
