Round 23 Pride Edition???

The Master of Ceremonies is not dead! Just stressed and depressed. But I was thinking, and Pride month is a perfect time to have another Writeblr Hunger Games. So, once again: Have you wanted to put your characters in a life or death situation with other writeblrs' characters? Have you been hoping to write some good angst for them? Do you have a hankering for a potential rebellion against the powers that decided to make the Hunger Games in the first place? Or! Would you like to put your characters in a dating simulator since it's Pride month? Where they can fall in love with other writers' characters? Well, this is the event for you! I'll throw your characters into the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator!

If there's enough interest, we'll have another round! There are different options for this one! I would want all characters submitted to be LGBTQ+ in some way, and we could have a life or death vanilla WHG, or we could have a dating simulator this time, teehee. The simulator will not take into account characters' sexualities, but it could still be fun! I'll put this as a poll so hopefully, more people will see it and be interested. Please reblog to spread the word!

Round 23?

I know it has been a long time, but I have been itching to do a new round and hopefully write something again, lol. So, I'll ask the age-old question now: Have you wanted to put your characters in a life or death situation with other writeblrs' characters? Have you been hoping to write some good angst for them? I'll throw your characters into the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator and see who comes out on top!

If there's enough interest, we'll have another round! I can even make it spooky since we're close to Fall and Halloween! If there are any themes you'd like to see, or different ways to do this round, please let me know! And please reblog this to spread the word and let me know of your interest! We'll see if this spooky WHG will get off the ground!

Round 22? (Again)

So, last time, there wasn't enough interest to start another round, but I'm back on my bullshit about wanting to try another round, lol. Not because I have changed Chess up again and want to put her through another painful round of WHG, no way (sarcasm). So, as before, please boost this post and indicate if you'd be interested in throwing your beloved characters into a Hunger Games simulator! If there is enough interest, I will continue on with this round! I hope there is this time, for Chess's sake, lol.

Reminder of the basics: you submit your precious blorbos and I put them through the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator to see who survives to the end! There are different options, with relationships and changes I can make to events. So, it's up to you! We can do a classic WHG, with a classic Hunger Games and death, or we could do a different arena theme, a different event entirely where the characters don't even canonically die, or something else! I'll be making a poll at the end of this post to see what you are interested in!

This is just to gauge interest, and if there is interest, I will make a post to ask for submissions! Please do not submit characters at this time! And maybe another poll for more specific ideas and themes. Please reblog to show your interest or to boost!

Round 22?

Yes, I am somewhat not super stressed out at the moment, and I somehow believe that I will have enough time to actually write and make this happen if everyone else would like it! Which really means, I'd love to have another round of the WHG, if there is interest!

Round Twenty?

It's been a while, folks, but don't worry--just like autocratic governments with brutal yearly sacrifice demands, you can't get rid of us that easy.

For those of you who aren't raising your eyebrows or frowning with the memory the Writeblr Hunger Games, allow me to introduce the concept: you write stories with characters whom you want to put through the wringer, and we're here to help. In the WHG, writeblrs throw their characters into a simulator of the Hunger Games, a last-one-standing-wins gladiatorial/survival contest with the lens of a cutthroat TV show.

Set your character(s) to compete against other writers' characters, watch who wins, and use the randomly generated results and artisanally crafted prompts as writing inspiration if you'd like. The Games are what you make of them, from a casual social event to an intense AU-writing scheme!

If people are interested, the basic format for the WHG is that writers submit their original characters as potential candidates. Then I put them in the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator and share the results.

For this round specifically, to kick off the summer and celebrate the 20th round, the theme will be an ultimate redemption round! Writers who have participated before are especially encouraged to submit characters who have been in the Games before and lost. For newcomers, share your downtrodden, your short-changed, your loser and dropouts raring for a second chance!

This is NOT the post to submit your characters from; this post is just to gauge interest, so leave a reply or a reblog to let me know if you're interested so I can see if enough people are on board that it's worth getting this hovercraft off the ground! Round 19?

Yup, the Writeblr Hunger Games is back! It’s time for a new round of the WHG!

Have you ever daydreamed about forcing your character(s) to go into a Hunger Games inspired arena with other writeblrs’ characters and fight to the death? Or your characters helping all those poor tributes escape in some daring conspiracy? Well, look no further! The Writeblr Hunger Games does just that!

Yes, if there’s enough interest, we’re having another round of the Writeblr Hunger Games! To explain, writers submit their characters, and then I put them in the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator, and I share the results. Writing about your characters and their experiences is encouraged but not required! And if you don’t want your character(s) to die, you can even come up with fun ways that they live!

I have not thought of a theme yet, so if you would like a theme, please let me know! It could even be a non-deadly theme, if you would like! If everyone would rather have a classic WHG, please let me know too!

Round 18?

Yes, folks, it’s that time of year again! The time for a new round of Writeblr Hunger Games!

Do you want to chuck your characters in an arena filled with other writeblrs’ characters and pit them against each other in a fight to the death? Do you instead want to see your characters go through potentially ridiculous scenarios with other characters? Well, you’re in luck!

Yes, if there’s enough interest, we’re having another round of the Writeblr Hunger Games! To explain, writers submit their characters, and then I put them in the Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator, and I share the results. Writing about your characters and their experiences is encouraged but not required! And there normally is a conspiracy at the end where characters escape and wreak havoc on the Capitol after the Games, if you’re interested in that!

And this round’s theme is a deadly beach! Where the tributes are thrust into an arena that is just gorgeous beach and ocean, but everything’s trying to kill them! I thought that was an appropriate theme for summer!
