Inquisitor Week, Day 7: Life Post-Tresspasser

Okay so I skipped a day but I REALLY wanted to render this. As of typing this, it's still Inquisitor Week, though it's going up the day after lmao.

After Tresspasser, Hissera moves to Antiva with Josephine. She helps Fiona manage the College of Enchanters for Antiva City, and she does some research and teaching there, especially as Thedas' expert on that big ol' hole in the sky. She focuses on finding ways to more safely travel through the Fade and interact with spirits.

She gets more piercings too. She got her septum piercing on her own, and she and Josephine got matching labret piercings together. (That concept art of Josephine with her lip ring was 100% the inspiration for that.)

Her tattoo was part of an experiment she conducted about a year after moving to Antiva, to see if tattoos could be used as a sort of portable magic circle.

And of course, her son! He's 4-5 as of Veilguard. His name is Mateo, and he gets along well with both Hissera's and Josephine's side of the family. He's a mage, just like his Tama. (Hissera wouldn't call herself a Tamassran, but with two moms she and Josephine just agreed that Hissera is Tama and Josephine is Mama). I'm not entirely sure where he is during Veilguard, but I like to think Josie and Hissera are keeping him safe in Skyhold.

Hissera was young when she became the Inquisitor, and she's only JUST turning 30 during Veilguard. She's got a whole life ahead of her after Tresspasser, and the Inquisition dissolving was a huge burden lifted off her shoulders, all things considered.

Inquisitor Week, Day 3: The Winter Palace

Hissera enjoys a good excuse to dress up, but she knows how dangerous the Game is in Orlais. Or, at least she's taking Josephine's warnings about the danger seriously.

Someday I'll draw her with a mask to represent the Inquisition, but instead it's her taking her whole job Very Seriously at the ball.

Inquisitor Week, Day 2: The Herald of Andraste

I found a @mellon-soup base while i was brainstorming this so I decided to use it.

I think Hissera only ever sat on the throne like a normal person when she was actively sitting in judgement. I'd put her sitting posture somewhere in the "L Death Note" category when she's just chilling.

I fear it's simply a gay thing. I need to figure out how she's actually portrayed in stained glass and portraits. Definitely not like this though.

Inquisitor Week, Day 1: Before the Anchor

Hissera in her mercenary days before the conclave. Or more accurately, her "errand girl for a mercenary group" days. She was too young to fight when she joined up but someone's gotta take the clothes to the laundry and clean up the dishes at camp. She started actually fighting with the team after about a year with Valo-Kas.

It didn't bother her too much, everyone's gotta work their way up after all. Plus, it was a way to see more of Thedas while earning some money to send back home to her Tama in the Starkhaven boonies.

Hissera maintains a good relationship with Valo-Kas after they end up integrated into the Kirkwall guard. And they're proud that the stubborn mage kid they picked up ended up making a name for herself.

Inquisitor Week, Day 5: Alternate Universe

A quicker one today, but it's pretty much: What if The Iron Bull had recruited Hissera instead of Valo-Kas?

In this situation, someone else entirely is the Inquisitor, and Hissera is found in Skyhold at the tavern with Krem and Bull. I think she'd be up in the rafters though.

I think I can still see her getting together with Josephine if the PC doesn't. There'd be a whole party banter subplot about it with a love triangle with her, Josephine, and Blackwall.

Bull: So....things didn't work out with you and the ambassador? Blackwall: [grunt] Bull: C'mon, lighten up a little. Win some, lose some, after all. Blackwall: I don't need your pity. Especially not yours. Bull: Don't feel bad. Adaar's almost as good as I am with the ladies. Almost. Blackwall: It's not a competition. Bull: You only say that because you lost.
