She could tell something was bothering him. Otherwise he wouldn’t be sitting at the edge of the bed in the middle of the night with his face in his hands, bare back hunched over in defeat.

Wiping the sleep out of her eyes, she crawled over to where he sat, wrapping her arms around him from behind.

"What’s wrong?" she asked him softly, not wanting to pry, but she was curious; her lips brushed against the side of his neck, resting her chin on his bare shoulder blade.

Loki had already begun walking away from Darcy when she spoke which led him to turn back to her. Unwillingly of course since the desire to hang around for further discussion had already faded away. “My well being need not be a concern of yours.” Anything she might have wanted to say next was cut off by the words spoken by Loki.  

"Loki, stop!" Darcy leaped up off the bed, managing to grab ahold of his wrist. "Look...I know you may think I'm some pathetic, weak mortal but..." She sighed heavily. "This is new to me, okay? I'm no relationship expert, but whatever's going on between us is something that I don't wanna let go of. Ever!" The tears were flowing before she could stop them. And Darcy never cried.

"Y-You already left once..." she sniffed. "Please don't leave me again."
