sometimes when someone compliments my body after/while we hook up, i wonder if they’re doing so because they think i’m probably not happy with my body because i’m not thin. i always want to be like 

‘im perfectly happy w my body i don’t need you to validate me’

but isnt doubting this compliment indicative of insecurity?

in all honesty it hurts me so much to think about all the girls that you've been with. I can't be mad and it shouldnt hurt me because every girl youve been with was before me, and now youre mine an youve been mine for over a year, but why am i so scared?

why am i so scared that youre going to get bored of me sexually and want some one else. Youve never been with anyone this long and i guess that should prove you truly love me, and i believe you do . But i'm scared that physically youre gonna start to hate me.. Im not as skinny as other girls youve been with and i dont necessarily know exactly what im doing in bed. I want to impress you so badly, but i just feel like i cant.

I really want a tail from this site but I’m poor as hell! Look how realistic this guy makes his silicone tails; I can’t take it! Even if I could afford one it’s not like I’m taking it to the beach with me. I’m too insecure to handle all the strange looks I’m certain I’d get down the shore (I’m from Jersey we don’t often call them “beaches"). People would be taking pictures & getting their kids to bother me & stuff thinking I’m some public attraction (or an actual real mermaid since people that stupid unfortunately exist) & I’d be all like “I just want to swim. 😟" Then when I do actually get to swim I’d have to basically crawl towards the ocean, accidentally tripping people along the way (which would bring even more attention) & strangers would try to help me by dragging or carrying me, making me more uncomfortable for some reason even if they are being good people. So I constantly have to tell them “No I’m good it’s okay!" The beaches here are sometimes crowded too so I’d be accidentally slapping a bunch of people with my fin & constantly apologizing as I’m trying to swim. Also I bet all of you I’d get at least 1 creep that would be trying to hit on me which I find ironic because he’d be most likely one of the same people who think merpeople don’t have genitals anyway. I mean it really all depends on which book, TV show, movie, or whatever depicts them. From all the mermaid stories I’ve heard, read, & watched they were all able to have the ability to each have they’re own genitals & pair of legs when coming out of the water in order to interact on land so yeah. My neighbor lets me swim in her pool since I don’t have my own, but that would be the only place I’d actually swim in with the tail on. Well that’s life I guess. I really hate how the majority of us react when we see or hear something different. Like a mermaid trying to mind her own business. 😒
