how do I add images to posts?
Recognise that head shape anywhere? We should be friends...
Press 'Alt' and click on the Camera/Upload Image icon to switch it to inserting images with a link.
Should help with uploading gifs! Although I haven't tried it with reblogs.
Just a tumblr tweak help thing that might help people who are struggling with upload/insert images in the new layout. :)
Annoying Image Problem: A Solution
One Of The Things That's Really Bugged Me About The Update
It got rid of sticking the
on like photo posts (which you could do with missing e).
and now its gone.
except there is a way around it. (so you don't get the dumb grey photo thing) (and i know some people don't know how to do it and might want to)
if you want to add a photo like that into something like a photo post first you have to open a separate text post and insert the picture in there
once you've done that click the <html> next to spell check and you should see something like this
highlight and copy
(pretty much <img src="the url of the image will be in here"/>)
open up the htm on the photo post and paste it into there.
then you'll get the image just as if you + upload image
the same goes for using large gifs on text posts except doing it the oposite way. sticking the gif into the phototext post with the url, opening html and copying the <img src=""/> and pasting it into the text posts html.
it's really annoying that tumblr did that. (since when i make cosplay gifs they're usually too large for tumblr to handle).
(you also dont have to worry about that text post. you can get rid of it. the image will still exist)
