Capitol Police Officers Said They Wouldn’t Be Surprised If Members Of Congress Helped Plan The Attack

“We are the buffer, so that Congress doesn’t have to deal with the mess that they create in their respective districts.”

Any members of either chamber of Congress who colluded with the pro-Trump terrorist assault on the US Capitol need to be expelled, put on trial, and sent to prison for a long time if found guilty.

The attack on the Capitol was as much a threat to the US as the 9/11 attacks. People need to be reminded that the designation terrorist does not exclude white Christian Republicans who conspire against the United States. The KKK committed thousands of terrorist acts. The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing was the second most deadly terror attack in US history. And a number of mass shootings since then have been carried out by bloodthirsty whites with anti-democratic motives.

The ethics committees of both chambers of Congress need to begin investigating internal involvement in the insurrection ASAP. Any evidence of wrongdoing should be turned over ti the new US attorney for DC.
