BREAKING: Antiwar veterans break through the Capitol barricades to protest Trump’s military parade. Police have made dozens of arrests.
Greg Stoker says the “authoritarian-esque” parade shows “the veneer of democracy is fading away.”
On Wednesday (02/25/26), I joined the Faithful Resistance March for Immigrant Justice in Washington D.C. Approximately 2000 people, clergy and laity, attended the worship service and march which were organized by the United Methodist Church. After the march many participants visited the office of their Federal legislators. The worship service was held at the Capitol Hill UMC church and then together everyone walked a mile to the Capitol to hear the speeches. Our Massachusetts group met with Sen. Warren’s staff at her office in the Hart Building. The message delivered by the march was that our Christian faith teaches us to love all our neighbors and treat all with justice and compassion.
